to be honest i dont like the way they handled horde primes bio, way to little information and no explanation of the monster hand and wizard of oz like giant form from Filmation. They should have addressed that or at least have some sort of explanation of it. And this is the bio they should have done it in.
Which is worse...getting turned into an anthropomorphic snake and getting killed by a comrade, or getting your head removed by a whiny brat?
I think, in the grand scheme of things, Ned Stark had a worse ending.
My thoughts is that if there was a way to save Man-At-Arms, you have to assume the Masters would have sought it out. The way I read that bio is that as a Snake-man, Duncan created some "great and horrific" machines. I'm thinking that Snake Man-At-Arms would probably be the most dangerous enemy the Masters had ever faced. He knew them all and he knew everything there was about their defenses and weaknesses.
Clamp Champ had the monumental struggle of overcoming and out doing his predecessor. I don't think their last fight was just a chance encounter in an open field. I would have imagined that Duncan might have created a deadly weapon that was going to wipe everything out or maybe he super enhanced the Serpent's Ring and was going to convert the entire planet into Snake-men. I would imagine that would have led to a great duel between Clamp Champ and MAA.
It doesn't say that Clamp Champ killed MAA, just that MAA was mortally wounded. It could be that he was wounded by his own device or deed and regained his humanity to do a last minute save or somehow redeem himself.
I'm more anxious to look at Clamp Champs bio now.
We survived the long night.... MOTU Forever!
^EXACTLY
Clamp Champ would never willingly kill Duncan. Maybe he wounded him and after Duncan regained his human form he sacrificed himself. I could buy that if MAA had to die. But sorry TG (Mattel) Clamp Champ would NOT kill Man At Arms. No way, no how.
GOAT MAN for MOTUC IN 2013... please... c'mon... pretty please?
They didn't address his two heads for the same reason they didn't address Mer-Man's, Moss-Man's, or Stinkor's. They are different display options, obviously contradictory and based on choice. Why do they need explaining? One of them will likely end up being official (ie: Mer Man cardback head) and the other just something for the fans.
A bit off topic, but I wonder if it is feasible to reuse selected portions of the Horde Prime body/armor and the Faceless One body/armor to create a classics-esque "Horde Wizard" that appeared in the MYP cartoon. I always thought those dudes were really cool.

Say cheese!!!
Interesting New art for Snake Man-At-Arms BIO-pic.
I was expecting them to use a screencap from MYP-cartoon...

Horde Prime's bio art....Well let's say it's different.
And so "Horde Empire" get destroyed or defeated by He-Man and She-Ra.......not by Skeletor.
Snake Man-At-Arm get killed by Clamp Champ?

BOO! They use a crappy variant nobody wanted, based on a storyline nobody liked, to kill off another iconic character.
I will admit, unlike Sorceress, Man-At-Arms was not on my "do not kill" list but I always envisioned him going out in a grand heroic sacrifice.

so are these bios a full saga, i mean with major characters dying off it seems as though TG wants to end the story with the bios.

Not happy with Duncan's fate.![]()
"Skeletor to King Randor...Skeletor to King Randor. Come in, you royal boob!"
So is Horde Prime really going to have that ? as his bio photo, or is Scott just tying to keep his face a secret. I'm fine with Horde Primes bio, nothing I was not expecting.
As for Snake Man-at-Arms, still not crazy about the figure, and really not crazy his death, I was under the idea that he would be saved at the end buy The Sorceress, be that Teela or Teela-Na.
Griffen looks so much better with the tri-colored wings as apposed to solid gray wings we saw at Power Con.
"Don't crowd me boys!"
Fiddlesticks, I can't get to Facebook where I am right now.....
Killing off main characters is just a way of maturing the story a bit. I wouldn't be logical if everyone kept living all the time with happy endings...
I like Horde Prime's bio and real name. Never cared about the Griffin... Although it's real name should have been Peter or Stewie...![]()
but that would be for a narrative tale rather than a bio blurb imo. that's why I asked if scott wants to tell an epic tale with an end to it with the bios, because thats what it feels like. to me it's a bit off because the bios give in such a short space, information that should have an emotional impact to the characters and readers but instead it essentially gives a what the **** vibe. at least these character deaths always leave me scratching my head.

It can be something that propels the story forward. Or it can be a cheap stunt by creatively bankrupt writers (which describes 90% of the deaths in comic books over the past two decades). In this case, it could be a powerful story arc, with He-Man and Clamp Champ forced to fight their friend and mentor. Sounds more like it falls into the latter category, though, little more than a way to move Duncan out and make room for Clamp in as cheap a way possible. Hard to really classify it given such a brief story.
Would have been more powerful if Teela had restored Duncan to humanity just in time for him to turn on Hiss and turn the tide of battle, letting him die the hero he always was...
