    Very, very sad news. I always had respect for his work, but I was enchanted by the man when I saw him on the Colbert Report. He really was funny, sharp and humane.

    Awww, damn! I loved that book when I was a kid. I remember being excited when I finally took it out of the library.

    RIP, Sendak. I loved your illustrations.
