    My MOTUC Mini Comic Haul

Let me make this clear from the start, these are not done by me. I was blown away recently by a few customs on Ebay, so I figured I'd start a mini comic collection.

    First up: Trapjaw!

    Trapjaw_Mini

According to the customizer (name to be released hopefully), he used the Demo-Man buck, used generic He-man boots for the lower legs and painted the rest. He has a bobble head, but it's still awesome!

Couldn't resist throwing my guy in there...

Second, we've got Beastman done by the same guy. Notice the economic use of Demo-Man's feet. Solid, solid work! Whip handle is painted.

    Beastman&TJ_Mini

Now for the least few, I figure I'd throw in some Mattel issued variants to help fill in the gaps.

Wow... especially those last few group pictures really scream 'Alcala' and 'Mini Comics' to me. Very economic use of Demo Man indeed, with the 2nd head on Skelly and the feet on Beast Man.

By the way, a bobble head can easily be fixed by putting a small layer of... eerhm, I'm not sure what the American/English name for these things is but here in The Netherlands we call 'em 'Poster Buddies'. Those small tape/clay/glue like squares you can buy in an office store to hang posters or stick photo's on a wall. It will keep the heads fully poseable and rotatable as this stuff is flexible (thinking about it, it feels a bit like chewing gum) yet it will keep them from bobbling around. And it you want to remove it afterwards, it is easily removable.

Wow! My favorite era brought to life. Thanks for sharing.

BTW, I think Beast Man could use a shot of Games Workshop Purity Seal to dull down that glossy finish.

Very cool, thanks for the link. I was going to try the old "throw some glue on it and move it around until it dries" technique. If any of you have had bad experiences with that let me know. That being said I just might be a package of those "buddies" and see what works! Thanks man... Dank u wel, e-man!

Wow! Really cool customs. Nice way to use the Demo-Man body for Trap Jaw! The red Beastman is awesome, too!

That Trap Jaw looks very good!

And I hope Mattel makes that red variant of Beast Man. I prefer the original in the mini-comics over the regular orange one.

Yeah, that is a really good idea using Demo Man for the Trap Jaw. Nice collection there.

First shot, I was like, "Oh, just another wannabe green Trap-Jaw dream custom." But after looking at your pictures, that is a pretty nice Trapjaw. And Beast Man looks awesome too. I wouldn't care if I ever got that TrapJaw color, but that Beast Man for some reason just looks more threatening.
Can someone PM me the US number for Matty? I want to talk to someone who might has a clue of what is going on.

Thanks guys! The thing I was most impressed with on Trap Jaw was the paint job, it's really very good. Everything from his beady eyes, the wiring on his armor, the black stripes on his pants down to the straps on his boots; they're all evenly and neatly painted. It's way better than Mattel's standard applications.

With red Beastman I like how all the attention goes right to his claws and teeth. He takes on a more animal appearance IMO.
