This is a reason why Stinkor became the first Evil Warrior I skipped. I was worried he might stink up my collection room even if he was still MOC. I noticed Moss Man stunk a little MOC, so I didn't want to chance it.

has anyone purchased any of the patchouli to "supercharge" there Stinkor yet?

If so does anyone have any recommendations as to which kind of the oil is stronger and which smell the closest to the toys brand of patchouli?

All 3 of my Stinkors hardly smell at all.

My vintage Stinkor stunk so bad my whole Snake Mountain playset smelled like him.

I just had to tape up the ZW case to stop the smell, and it did....I will see in the morning if it fully worked or not, but the friggin mailer even reeks....it would probably have went unnoticed after a while, but my wife would have smelled it every time, since she goes into the closet / display room, every once in a while, because some of it is for paperwork as well, and I don't want that....I seriously didn't think it would be that strong....since i have him I will keep him sealed up somehow, but had I known this....I probably would have passed....God forbid though the next time I cut that tape, and open that ZW case....I will be calling the Paramedics....

I actually really like the Stinkor smell, and am still shocked that despite getting this figure 100% right, they decided to swap the arm fins.

I can't tell if they used it in the armor or if it's just slightly residual. My Stinkor is so weak I have to put my nose right on him.

My Stinkor has a very faint smell like some of you here. I honestly care less about this feature, however I'm still very upset about those defective forearms. Mattel is really good at screwing this line up in all areas. It's hardly these days to get a perfect figure without issues! Sigh...

I feel the same way. He was nearly perfect until the arm swap.

Any suggestion on where and how to cut vent holes into Stinky's card so his stench can come out?

Ideally I would put vent holes in the same place Matel puts them normally. But the plastic inside the bubble that holds the skunk in place is in front of where the vent holes would go on the side. I had another idea to cut a hole in the dimple in the front middle of the bubble.
You may be wasting your time with that; from what's been said elsewhere, it's sometimes hard to smell him unless he's very close (though the smell is strong then).

I wonder why some people's Stinkor's stink to high heaven and others (like mine) only have a faint scent of of nostalgia to him?

My stinkor didn't smell as strongly as Moss-man did when I first got him, but since he's been on my display shelf I have noticed that his scent has diffused around the room. Whenever I open the hobby room door, I get a wonderful aroma of nostalgia! (I like the Stinkor scent )

What is also funny is that the first of my two hobby rooms is in a room right off of our front door entryway and in that entryway we have an old metal sign we found that says "Hippies please use side entrance." Now, if you open my hobby room door, you might actually believe some hippies have used the side entrance and are now in the house!

Its funny. I got one Stinkor through the sub and picked up the other on the sale date. My first one from the sale date smelled, but it was nothing too strong. The second one which I received yesterday with my sub order was so much stronger. When I opened him I got hit with a wave of stink. I've always loved Stinkor and really love this sculpt, but the stench definitely reminds me how much I hate the smell of patchouli.

On a side note all his blue accessories really do seem cheap and unfinished without any paint apps (especially the tanks). Such a shame this detail is missing on such a cool sculpt.

My Stinkor barely smells at all. It makes me a sad panda. I LOVED Stinkor as a kid, and even my older sisters thought it was cool that he smelled, and occasionally reminisce about it.

I have no sense of smell so I can't say how strong it is but I told my fiance' to smell it and she just looked at me funny and asked, "What am I smelling your toy for?" I asked her if it it stunk and she gave me a weird look and said, "I guess it does a little."

I'm waiting on my son to get home now to test his out. He has a nose like a bloodhound. He said he could smell Moss Man for days after opening it.

I wish my figure smelled stronger. The stench isn't nearly as powerful as the vintage toy.

The stank on my Stinkor is potent. I wouldn't change it for anything. What a great smell.

Mine hardly smells at all, so disappointed. I think my vintage Stinkor is still stronger then is one.

Scott, can you please address the current issue of why so many are reporting that their Stinkor figures have zero Pouchuli smell? Did something happen in manufacturing where the original formula was not mixed in with the plastic as we were told it would be? Obviously mistakes happen in manufacturing all the time and there is only so much you- being stateside- can control where this is concerned (especially if your review samples have the smell), but this seems like a glaring oversight. Especially with a figure whose key original gimmick was... well... his odiferous smell.

If it does turn out that the smell wasn't mixed or some other manufacturing snafu prevented its proper application, is there any possibility of a later (fixed) release?

Every Stinkor figure I have seen has a scent. The smell was mixed into the plastic, so it will differ from figure to figure, but they all came from the same batch of plastic with the scent mixed in. Some may smell more or less, but they all have the scent mixed in.

I just got mine. I haven't had time to open him up to display him yet (and won't until I get back from work tonight), but I did notice that I can smell the odor even without opening the package! If that smell's coming from the plastic rather than the cardback, I can only imagine what sort of odor I'm going to get once he's up on my shelf.

For 'smell comparison,' I've had pretty good luck with my Moss Man. His scent wasn't too stong when I opened him up, but I can still get a good whiff of him, although I have to put my face about six inches from the figure. So, as far as I can tell, there's been very little deterioration of scent strength for me with that figure.

I've wondered the exact same thing in opposite.. Why do some barely smell, and mine, even a week later out of the package make my whole collection room stink to high heaven.. I hadn't gone in there for a couple days and the door is always kept closed because of my cat, and when I walked in there, WHEW! Yep, Stinkor still stinks!! Light a match, geez! Type of thing..

My Stinkor doesn't stink at all... you have to stick the figure in your nose to smell any of his scent. Now my Moss Man still has the smell after all this time. All in all, I wish the fragrence was stronger for both figures --- to the point where it does deoderize my basement, where I keep my collection.

I've only smelled one Stinkor but the plastic smell was stronger than the Stinkor smell.

Does anyone know if the smell is preserved if he is not removed from the packaging or will it fade over time anyway?

Yes, the plastic smell is actually more dominating than the Stinkor fragrance on mine too. Why do some not smell at all while some have an overwhelming odor? It's just another example of inconsistency that all the figures have I guess.
