Mad Matty boxes are stock that is A) plenty of Costumer service stock left, B) hasen't really seen a rerelease. So i can see it being likely TMS is in a matty box, being a low production run and wrapping up of reissues i could also see there not being much stock either side. it has nothing to do with a figure being "popular" popular characters like Bow, Vikor and so on where there, the main myth of where this comes from is Mo-larrs but that was a PR production run, not a regular matty sale day run, it was meant to go to a retail stores at one point but was dropped leaving matty with extra stock. it wasn't much to do with how popular it was.

Either and as others have said, way mattel would have to be the nicest company in the world and not won't money to pull stock early to help one employee save face... and they ain't that

If Spector did sell out so quickly my guess is someone bought a lot to help speed up this process and finish Christmas shopping for friends and family 7 months early Personally, I did not waste my money on this X-Man.

It's a cool figure, not everyone like shim, but I rather do. I did miss out on getting him, but the hope all along was that I would miss and get him on the cheap later in the year on a Matty Sale.

I'm so glad Spector has sold out now, I always thought he was cool from day one as I like as much variety in the characters as possible! Congrats to ToyGuru for having a successful figure even if it is bittersweet for him regarding all the negativity around TMS. One thing I would like to see now that the figure has been released and sold-out is a lot less griping from all the haters on the ORG. Grown-ups ( I assume) on these boards have been too childish for too long and have contributed far too much personal venom towards TG and the others at Mattel over something as simple as a lack of preference for a certain character. I was not happy about Preternia Disguise He-Man or some other lackluster figures but in the grand scheme of things all the characters can inhabit their own niche in the massive MOTUC canon. It just shows a lack of imagination if you get bent out of shape over a time-travelling superhero-esque MOTU character, that couldn't have been designed any better by most of the noisy negativists.

So hurray to ToyGuru, Mattel, the MattyCollector team, the Four Horsemen, all the Mighty Spector lovers, and the 30th anniversary line 'cuz 2012 will go down as one of the most exciting and passionate years in Masters of the Universe history!!!
