September figure pushed to October!

Scott just answered some questions over on Mattycollector, including this one.

Question

You told us the reveal would be in two weeks, well were at that two week point and I'm curious to know when you plan on posting the reveal of the September MOTUC figure that Goes on Sale with Frosta?

Answer

The figures actually got pushed to Oct now. So Frosta will be the Sept figure and this new figure will be the Oct figure. He will be revealed before the end of May.

If it is in fact Mosquitor I feel bad for Pixel Dan, they are just drawing it out farther. But no matter who the figure is I'm bummed that we have yet another figure get pushed back.

What happened to "by July we we be back on schedule," that seems to have be wishful thinking.

They will be back on schedule in 2013 when they cut down on the number of releases.

Anyway, so are there going to be 2 Oct figures? THis is bad if that is also when Granamyr comes out.

November figures will vanish from existence, and December figures will arrive in February 2013. Also because of Spector, and his awesomeness, the October 2012 figures that are now scheduled will be sent out back in December 2011 to get the releases back on time, and to make up for Demo not shipping....so come October check your collections, because you will already have the figures on your shelf, YAY for TMS he will really save the day!

Awesome, one figure that will not be going on a week long tour of the west coast with Cornerstone Logistics.

So Frosta was August, but now Lazer-Lot, Vykron and Snake Duo are August and Frosta is September, which makes Mosquitor October.

This is getting silly. Are we gonna get two bona-fide Club Eternia figures in Nov or Dec? I think they kinda have to now, don't they?

If the trend continues, December is going to end up a $500 MOTUC month for me! (2x each sub+big Granny)

We don't know Mosquitor is the September figure, just that he's coming

Yes, they have to fill the terms of the sub, so one month, October, November or December has to have 2 monthly figures

I don't believe that Granamyr has been given an official release date yet. I believe they are wanting to release him before December to avoid the problem that many fans had being able to afford the Wind Raider in December last yet.

That is my feeling on it, the figs are coming so it does not really bother me when. Of course I hope things don't get stockpiled in December. If we have to have a big month October or November would be preferable

Frosta is still in Sept.

The reveal will now be for the Oct figure. (what was the "second" Sept figure we mentioned at NYCC.). Since Aug did not have a figure, there will still be a month with two figures. It may be Oct, but it won't be Sept anymore. We'll confirm all at SDCC.

Despite all the schedule slips, we will get to everything in the calendar year. They just may not all be in the intended month, and we reworked 2013 so that everything is now coming in well ahead of the on sale date (2-3 months) so it should be a much smoother year!

Still. No matter what - amazing figs are coming soon. I seriously can't wait for the SDCC reveals. The sculpt are coming in. Some clear fan demanded figure in the lot for sure this year!

Can someone make a new and clear presentation of the (yet once adapted) MotUC release schedule. My brain hurts... Or is it just plain and simple:

- September = Frosta,
- Octobre = the other supposed September figure

I wonder if this means the 3rd quarter variant will be delayed to October too? I wouldn't mind too much, but it will have the last minicomic, so it would be nice to have it sooner than later.

This is why matty needs a page that has a list of the projected dates for announced figures to be released. They could even just have all the figures in the month with DCIE, 30th etc listed.

With TG's answers about the WR being that we had known about it and it's price for some time, letting us know what's coming when would help in the 'saving' department. At this rate we are looking at an expensive end of year with Granamyr added in the final 3 months.

Hmmm... I thought that the delays were supposed to take place during the FIRST half of the year !?

I guess it was ANOTHER lie from TG, and that the delays have now officially become the "NORM" for 2012 !

Not good for the sales of the 2013 sub, I suppose...

Agreed, for all we know TG expected things to be back on track for the 2nd half of the year when he made that statement

Ha ! It seems that the TRUTH is now considered "rude" or even somewhat "criminal" by some people, around here...

We're ALSO still waiting for that DR change that was supposed to have taken place weeks and even months ago !

Release schedules are not a promise. In fact, Mattel has gone out of their way to say dates can and will shift.

Keep this topic on track talking about the release schedule. Not the person who is communicating to us about it.

Actually, the delays that he was speaking to had to do with the FACTORY. Those are the delays that are supposed to be ending next month. When a figure is delayed due to development, that is an entirely different thing. Frosta was delayed because she was running late in sculpt (we saw proof of that with the rushed paint job at TF). The new October figure might be running late due to something similar.

Those are the types of delays that are for the betterment of the figure, not just because the factory is backed up. If the figure gettig moved back one month will make it better, I would choose that every time over something rushed.

You can feel like you are being called a criminal for speaking the "truth" if you want. Just make sure all the facts are straight.

I think it's more that the truth has become a subjective thing around here the last year or so.

As for the lateness of figures, as long as I don't end up with another month of NO figures coming in, they can run all the late they want. I hate having to wait 60 days for new MOTUC goodness.

I agree but that kind of behavior is the norm on here now. I do not care one bit if my toys slip a month. Im still getting them. And I know whats basically comeing in advance so I know to put money back for it.

I agree, having a month with no figure blows, but having a month with several figures and a Dragon would blow too.
