    the only game i dislike enough to call "the worst" is tactical RPG hoshigami: ruining blue earth. i was psyched when i first heard about the game. it was the same genre as my then favorite game: final fantasy tactics. i bought the game as soon as it came out and then realized what a mistake it was. this game was impossible to figure out! the magic system, the spirit worship system (which governed stats), and the session system (which would allow for group attacks) were all convoluted. i don't recall if there was any type of in-game tutorial, but the manual did nothing to explain how to properly play the game. it didn't help that the game was crushingly difficult from the get-go. it took several attempts to beat even the first battle, and even then it was by the skin of my teeth. i never got past the second battle. i would go on to complain that any dead characters are dead for good and can only be replaced by level 1 recruits, but i didn't get far enough for it to matter.

    i still have this game though. it serves as a reminder to thoroughly research a game before buying.

    stupid game.

    Worst FPS is anything Call of Duty that was after 4. That includes Black Ops and the two Modern Warface sequels.

    To be honest though, there are only a small handfull of video games I have ever regretted buying, and that was because they were down right awful. Those are Eat Lead, Prince of Persia 2008, and Solar Jetman. Resident Evil 5 is not the worst Suvival Horror because it is not even Horror, and even if it was, it would still not be the worst. Resident Evil Gaiden, for example is worst, but pretty much every Silent Hill after 3 is terrible, especially Homecoming and Downpour. In fact, those are so bad that I quit halfway through the game and just Youtubed the endings.

    Dunno if I could really pick WORST for every genre, as like my favorites it's always in flux. At least with favs I can say "At the moment".
    With worst it's going to change more frequently, as there's always something to out "The Room" a bad game being called to ones attention.
    Also, none of those games you typed in are even remotely the worst ever. You may have been underwhelmed but they are by no means the worst.
    Well I'll give you Final Fantasy, I'm already not much of an RPG guy, but everything after 7 was pretty insufferable. DBD was bad, but it can be topped.
    Aaaaanyway
    Try playing THESE, and you will change your tune methinks.

    *First Person Shooter = Rainbow Six Lockdown
    *Third Person Shooter = Made Man (PS2. Go on. Go to Gamestop, buy it for $1.99, and get back to me)
    * Stealth = Sneak King
    * Survival Horror = Alone in the dark remake (2005/2006) (All current consoles. Pick one.)
    * Fighting = Dark Rift (N64. One of the most broken games you will EVER play.)
    * Beat-Em-Up = Final Fight Streetwise
    * Platform = Bubsy 3d
    * Action Adventure = THE SHIELD
    * Role Playing Game = Final Fantasy X
    * Racing = Corvette
    * Sports = RapJam
    * Rail Shooter = Revolution X
    * Real Time Strategy = Stormrise
    * Massive Multiplayer Online = APB
    * Simulations = Band Manager
    * Side Scrolling = Dash Galaxy in the alien asylum
    * Puzzle = Puzzle (No really. That's the name.)

    You know the list doesn't say you actually have to own the game, it could be a game you played at a friends house or in the arcades or something that you felt was downright awful

    I beat story mode of Shaq-Fu on a store display while waiting for my parents to shop. That was the one and only time I had played it, and I just remember it being awful. Tiny little characters, boring attacks, bad controls. Not a good game.

    *First Person Shooter- Redneck Rampage is terrible. Easy mode would be a paintball or water gun game, but come on, RR was just a joke.
    *Third Person Shooter- Die Hard, from Die Hard Trilogy.
    * Stealth- Sly Cooper(and sequels), I dislike these games and their rabid, obsessed fanbase
    * Survival Horror- Evil Dead on PS1/Dreamcast. Enemies respawned indefinitely and ammo was very scarce.
    * Fighting- TG-16 "Strip Fighter 2" makes Shaq-Fu look like a masterpiece of gaming.
    * Beat-Em-Up- Maximum Carnage, it was just pointlessly hard
    * Platform- Sonic wins this by many titles but I'd go with Shadow and its gun system which was poorly added in, but many of them are just bad.
    * Action Adventure- Blackthorne on SNES/GBA. I just do not understand the game, it's easy to get lost.
    * Role Playing Game- Chrono Cross showed me that Square didn't care about making a sequel that made sense(and sending their lawyers after anyoen that did try to make a decent CT sequel means I'll never buy their games again).
    * Racing- I don't play them
    * Sports- I don't play them
    * Rail Shooter- I dislike this genre as a whole
    * Real Time Strategy- I dislike this genre as a whole
    * Massive Multiplayer Online- I only play MapleStory, but I think WOW is pretty bad just for the elitist community it has. Though MS is riddled with bugs and run by a company that doesn't care and I wouldn't suggest playing it, even if it is free.
    * Simulations- Sims
    * God Games- Simcity 4 really bugged me
    * Side Scrolling- Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle
    * Puzzle-?
