separate Filmation Subsciption 2013 :: who's on board?

Hi all,

I really hope there will be a separate Filmation Subscription for 2013. So no one would loose precious "regular" figures and we could really get the characters we want, let's say 6 a year.

If TG should read this, what's your take on the subject? If there would be enough interest, is this a possibility for Mattel?

And what do you other guys think? It did work with the 30th anniversary subscription

I cant see it happening at all, the only reason for the 30th anniversary was just that, with certain figures created by certain people. I like your idea but filmation characters will be slotted in if they were part of any other faction/series.

Mattel has stated over and over that they intend the line to go beyond 2016/2017 and now with the introduction of filmation that will happen.

For me filmation characters should be a regular motu and so they are Masters of the universe,why seperate they from others characters?
They suppose to be more characters into the line that means :more life for the line

I dont want Filmation figures at all, but I DO want vintage MOTU,POP and NA so Id love if they made a seperate cartoon sub...that way I could still get the regular sub.

While I would be fine waiting until 2017 or 2020 to get all my figures, if we can get them sooner, I'd be all for a supplemental branch of the line. It's not a separate line after all, just the same one.

It's a discussion about Masters of the Universe Classics, and should go in that section of the forum. The poll is merely the starting point of the discussion, it will no doubt grow into an interesting thread where we talk about our hopes for the future of the Classics line.

Having a specific area for polls is madness. It's like a TV channel that's solely devoted to commercials. If the occasional poll pops up, people will vote for it, and it will have an impact. If you bunch all the polls together in one place, nobody will bother, unless they just *happen* to go looking for them...

I would support a Filmation sub! Despite a lot of complaint about the 30th Anniversary characters, it looks like the separate sub model works. It adds 6 figures to the year, and doesn't interfere with the monthly slot plan. So, the extra sub option gives us more characters in a year - not separate them out like some fans have suggested (such silly logic). It actually makes sense, particularly if the 4H are locked in a production schedule in advance for the annual sub.

On the flip side, IF Matty is wanting to stretch MOTUC out for as long as possible - this extra sub option would work against that.

I hope Scott will prove me wrong, but I don't see him doing this. He seems not to have much appreciation for Filmation. I hope I'm wrong.

Shokoti is fast becoming one of my top most wanted figures and if I could get her quicker in a separate sub I would be ecstatic

I hesitated to the very last day to order my 30th anniversary sub and regular sub.

If they did a Filmation sub and a regular sub, I'd order them instantly ASAP.

Filmation is what most people want, love, and grew up with wanting figures of several cool, memorable characters. No one can deny that.

I would be on board, but honestly would like it to be a full 12-figure subscription to compliment the regular 2013 Club Eternia subscription... and not just an "every other month" kind of Filmation sub.
If they did away with the 4 beast slots JUST for the 2013 calendar year and reduced variants to twice a year instead of four times, and had this optional Filmation sub- that would equal a helluva lot of action figures for one year, which would make me very happy

The line will be going on 5 years strong in 2013- this type of Filmation subscription line-up would get us caught up in the ol' Filmation department quite nicely, still leaving more characters to be trickled into the line in future years the way current factions are being sprinkled in (NA, PoP, Snakemen, Horde, Concepts, etc.).

I got my first subs this year with the regular sub and the 30th sub. I don't plan on subscribing again unless it is a Filmation-only sub.

I voted for neither. Not that I don't want them (I do!), but I think due to financial reasons I'm going to have cut down and try to cherry pick figs I can't bear to not have on day of sale next year. Did you know having children is expensive?

They've acquired the rights, and it would be a shame to waste them. They hold such potential for the future of all Masters of the Universe lore, going forward. After all, remember where we were just a year ago? So many chapters were sealed off.

I wish I could commit to the extra $$$ but sadly I cannot and I'd hate to miss out on some of the Filmation offerings. Gotta be selfish and vote no I wouldn't buy it, but I plan on getting the regular sub.

Even if we dont get a seperate filmation sub to which i dont see it happening id like Matty to offer a list of filmation characters we can choose from to be made, like the fan favourite contest that Illumina won, because and correct me if im wrong that when that contest was run filmation characters werent allowed.

Would be nice if fans got to choose again. Im sure a filmation character would win.

If Scott created a Filmation sub in addition to the regular one, I would have to consider how much money I can invest on subs.

I currently have TWO subs. Guess I'll be buying a total of FOUR!!!
