I would really love Dragon Blaster or Terror Claws. But I have a feeling it will be NA Skeletor. And this is my thinking:
When it comes to introducing new re-usable parts, Mattel likes to reap the cost savings straight away. We got Goddess and Teela released close together, as well as Gygor/Shadow Beast, Battle Cat/Panthor, even Stinkor/Mekaneck (armor). There’s lots more examples too. Now, Vykron was recently shown with some very NA looking lower legs. SMAA has shown us that Mattel can be prepared to go very cheap on these variants. It’s very possible that the variant will be NA Skeletor with clip on pieces. All I have to say is; Scott, if this is the plan, scrap it now, delay this variant and give us something better!

Hard to say.
By now, we've certainly been trained to expect whatever Skeletor accompanies the previous He-Man...so DB Skeletor is a definite possibility. And yet, Scott likes to throw us for a loop.
NA Skeletor has certainly been rumored. And in this case, it makes sense for the Skelly to come before the He-Man, as the whole point of NA is He-Man following Skelly. Yet it's been rumored, and Scott likes his surprises.
I'd love SB She-Ra, but I think it's too soon for that.
Catra is the only vintage character that had a variant but hasn't received one in MOTUC yet, so I'd like to hope it will be Shower Power Catra. But it probably won't be.
I'm stumped.

Im hopin for db skelly, tho na skelly would be cool, too soon for a new hordak imho, and iirc HH didnt sell too fast, and had a lot of crticism but who knows. Id love a 200x randor personally, but i dont even know, im still excited over the mekaneck reveal, with mosquitor clearly revealed (albeit in pieces) and a new variant reveal i wonder just how much they'll he revealing at SDCC and Power-con

But I really think it will be New Adventures. Most likely Skeletor. Primarily I think this because I think the 3rd mini-comic will somehow tie into NA so that the series runs the whole gamut from Preternia to New Adventures...

I too would love NA Skeletor, but I really hope it's NA Skeletor the way he appeared in most of the Jetlag series. His red armor look was only for the first six episodes and never looked as cool as his more samurai look for the rest of the series.

Also to me it makes much more sense that yet another variant would come from the recent mini as TP, SMAA, and then the inevitable DB all have appeared in the mini.
I think it will be Dragon Blaster Skeletor only to keep it consistent with TP he-man and the Battle Armor He-man/skeletor. If it were to be Dragon Blaster skeletor then i hope they manage to throw in Draego-Mans Shield and whip. One can hope.

I just thought of something...
1) Thunderpunch He-Man: comes with 1st mini-comic, featured in the 1st page of the mini-comic
2) Snake Man-At-Arms: comes with 2nd mini-comic, featured on 1st page of the mini-comic
3) ?: comes with FINAL mini-comc.
It would make sense that this character was/will be featured in one of the three mini-comics. The only one I can think of at the moment is: Sorceress Teela.
I'm not jonesing for ST, but...I think that's my guess.

I really doubt Light Spinner. The reason for variants at all is to reduce parts costs. Light Spinner would likely be a completely new figure. Oh sure, there would be some shared tooling, but it would be more tooling than a Snake MAA head or a suit of armor for He-Man
Agreed. Also, and this is just me, I always like to think that the bird motif survived with Sorceresses for generations and even through to Teela, but after The Second Ultimate Battleground and the defeat of the Snake Men she harnessed their power and became truly comfortable with her role as Sorceress and shedding the bird motif for a snake motif like The Goddess. It would justify (in my head) where that classic Teela look came from.
A Hybrid of NA and Laser Light Skeletor is what I'd really like to see. Not very likely, I know.
Oh and my most wanted variant has to be Snake Armor He-Man.

I would like to see classicized 200X King Hsss: new head, new hands/feet + some Chief Carnivus parts re-use. Repaint the snake-torso in light green color and add the bendy snakes as fans proposed.
... Toyguru said in the 'Walkthrough video' by Pixel Dan that Snakemen will get one more slot this year - but didn't say whether it is a regular slot or quaterly slot

I'm expecting another Skeletor variant.
I want DB Skeletor big time, but maybe it will be a blessing to not get him this year. He should come with a few accessories and paint apps and these things are not in favor this year. I would hate to see him scaled back.
IMO we should see one He-Man and Skeletor variant each year though.
filmation hordak is most likely considering we have most of his parts allready as this year has tended to cut out a lot of extras.
since we have had a good guy varient and a bad guy varient so far i expect due to the amount of heroes in the regular sub it could likely be a villain.
