Ah, but we've been told that the 3rd quarter variant will be revealed in the next few weeks, so I'll close 5 and start 6 then!

I only look forward to variants that are based on something I already care about. Usually, that means an alternate outfit that was actually in one of the shows. This means that Snake Armor He-Man and NA Skeletor would be awesome in my book, but I don't really care about things like Battle Armor. However, I think the fact that most MOTUC variants are based on old figures actually makes them interesting, even if I'm not exactly looking forward to them.

I like certain variants, TP & BA He-Man, mainly because I had them as a kid...BP She-Ra because I liked the way she looked, BGEL gave me a non jaundice Evil-Lyn to display with my collection.

I do not look forward to the 200X variants, meaning the tons of He-Man that were done to be done, but wouldn't object to actual 200X Classisized (non oversized) variants, I'd love Filmation variants. The 200X snake variants can stay out as far I am concerned....If SMAA never existed, I wouldn't shed a tear over him.

The NA Skeletor & He-Man would not bother me, DB & TC Skeletor, and FF He-Man can all come, not that I'd buy them, but they are vintage. I honestly feel variants are part of every line, therefore while I may not like some, they don't bother me coming one bit.

So long as the variants don't overwhelm the actual releases and stay about 4 or 5 a year, I'm just fine with them....I have all my variants except BA He-Man (and a possible few Filmation ones) anyway, just have to get him when I can get the money.
Recent....Foe Men, Karatti & Spirit of Hordak
    Coming....
Wanted....Filmation Hordak & Clawful, Seahawk, Castaspella, Batros & Icer
    Considering....Mosquitor, Leech
    Needed....Dragstor, Mantenna,Two Bad & Attack Trak

Not really. I want more characters, not more versions of the same character.

I agree. Variants that result in new characters I'm OK with. Zodak, battleground Teela, Keldor... maybe even a Strobo but otherwise my variants sit in storage.

This is how I feel. I hate variants, except when they are used to make a different character......like Zodak, Green Goddess, Keldor, etc.

Even a different color Evil Lyn was fine with me......but I hate having to buy Thunder Punch He-Man, Hurricane Hordak, Snake Man at Arms, when there really isn't much of a difference to me than the original figure.

    Depends on the variant.

I don't give a damn about a Snake Man-At-Arms but would love a Dragon Blast Skeletor.

I was really looking forward to a 200x Evil-Lyn but then we got screwed so I stopped looking forward to it.

Yes, I look forward to variants. Unless they are awful ones like Snake Man-At-Arms that I don't give a **** about.

I don't want Snake Teela, Snake Mekaneck, or any other Snaketified hero variants. Bleh.

Sure variants are one of the best things about this line. The only problem I have with Snake Man at Arms is that they already kind of did it with the palace guard snake head. I can't wait for snake meckaneck and snake teela... will be great figures and an awesome concept/ mutation of the story.

I was upset at first about Snake Man at Arms but I am ok with him. Sure he could have been better but whatever. I think they will get the other snake versions right and I look forward to them.

I really want a 200x Roboto from that same episode. They can use the existing Roboto buck just with some updates/different head and corrected shoulders.

Actually, I sell every variant I get with my sub.

For reference, I keep most everything else that Matty ships out with Club Eternia.

I agree, I like this touch in both the Classics and the classic line.

I loved the variants as a kid. And then I loved that they were doing variants in the the 200x line, but even more than that, I loved that they were finally doing variants of the other characters, besides He-Man and Skeletor!

And so it's not surprising I'm loving that they are doing the same as they did in the 200x line in the Classics line, but even better than what they did in the 200x line, they're also including versions of, and starting with, the classic variants!

In fact, I'd love variant versions of really any character, just so long as – as TG would say – "there is a compelling enough reason" to do them. And this is why I love PD He-Man, ToD Sorceress, and even Snake Man-At-Arms! I do agree though that each figure ought to be different enough in some ways, and/or include different enough accessories/weapons... 'simple' repaints generally aren't very compelling.

I think a BG Roboto could totally be justified and be 200x in spirit, it's just a matter of deciding how exactly to incorporate him into the running story. For instance they could combine both a 200x and mini-comic colors version into one release: 1) use the complete classics version but in mini comic colors; 2) instead of creating any new limbs, just create new snap-over pieces for the boots, and forearms maybe, and of couse new 200x battle armor; finally, include 3 new weapon attachments for his arm cannon, plus a removable cannon for his shoulders (or two, one for each shoulder) that could attach to the back of the new chest armor! ...Oh and fixed shoulders would be cool too. ...Oh I forgot! and 4) a new snap-over 200x helmet, and/or new head!

    Yes and no.

Battleground Evil Lyn is great as she is more like the cartoon version and came with a second head and cloak.

Battleground Teela is good because she looks completely different to regular Teela (although a bonus red-brown haired head would have been nice).

Thunder Punch He-Man is great as I loved the original as a kid and the 4H made him really stand out.

Snake Man-At-Arms does nothing for me. It looks like a half-hearted kitbash, and not a good one at that. There's no way MAA's armour fits onto those arms properly either. What a mess.

Exactly how I feel. I'm just not a fan of variants. Now, if they started doing 200x variants, I would be much happier...
Photog is here! thank you, Mattel!

Now how about some mini-comics love (like Lodar, Geldor, Dakon......)? And Mermista?

As long as the varients were full characters and not just samuri He-man, ice armor He-man, ect...... They're just not necessary IMO

The vintage line had great variants. I loved my Thunder Punch He-man when I was a little kid and I love the classics version now. My favorite though was Flying Fist He-man. I just can't wait to see the classics version of him.

Now, for Skeletor: I just can't wait to see Dragon Blaster Skeletor.

Oh boy do I ever! I want all the Vintage MOTU and PoP variants, as well as NA He-Man, NA Skeletor, DoD Skeletor, Jungle Attack, Ice, and Snake Armor HM, Fire and Ice Skeletor...
Oh, I'd love Samurai/Legacy Stone variants too.

Also: Snake Teela & Mekaneck, Crystal MAA, Gray (if you count him), Skeletor's Bride Teela...waitaminute...
    SKELETOR'S BRIDE TEELA!!!

...minicomic versions of Tri-Klops, Trap Jaw, Roboto, orange Stratos, red Beadt-Man, blonde hair-up Teela...pink sorceress and Teela...white-haired Randor and Marlena...blue-vested Adam...

Black Grizzlor, Kamo Khan, Leo Faker...

I'd take a 200X version of Adam and Roboto...

Odiphus would be great (again, if you count him as a variant...)

I could go on. I love 'em!

I am looking forwared to specific variants, but not variants in general.

I was looking forward to Battle ARmour He-Man, and am looking forward to a FIlmation Hordak & Vintage Toy Catra.

I love the variants we've had so far, although I would hate to see the line become 50% He-Man variants and 25% Skeletor variants like the 200X line. Some variants for me have become new characters, such as BG Teela becoming Tesla, Vikor's companion, thanks to someone's (TG?) typo here on the .Org. I wanted the 200X variants to be something more, so I started customizing Jungle Attack He-Man, and that character evolved into my character He-Lok.

The variants I'm looking most forward to are Flying Fists He-Man (The only vintage variant I never had) and Ice Armor He-Man.

To be truthful, it all depends on the variant. Variants like Grayskull with Orb, Snake MAA, BG-Lyn, H-Hordak I could honestly do without them. But then we get awesome figures like BG Teela and I don't mind the variant.
