Motuc fright zone with slime pit

OK so this thing has been in the works for well over a year. There was a time that I was going to scrap this project all together But now that it's 99% done I think it's OK to show this one off so without further ado I give you orgers my version of the fright zone

So I was asking around for extra imps last week I had a few replies and a pending trade with one of my fellow orgers.... Anyways the imps were for this:

In my twisted little mind the tree traps victims who fall prey to the tiny stomachs of the imp creatures who feed amongst its branches which in turn slowly eat their prey to death all the while "releasing" imp dung which feeds the tree . Ah the circle of life and death...

Once I get or somehow manage to reproduce enough imps I'll add their little dropings to the floor of the tree area

(on a side note if you are capable of casting these guys Please PM me as I am very interested in them )

Every body I remeber loved the puppet that came with Fright zone so how could I not re-invision him for this Diorama. So I came up with this:

This snake if you will was a great deal of heartache for me I built this the same time I built my first version of the FZ as once I finished with him I relized he didn't fit in his cave very well at all, add on the fact that all the floors were warped and I had to scrap about 40 hours of work and start the base all over.

I gave him multiple rows of teeth he's my Etheria's answer to the Star wars Sarlac monster. It just takes it time eating its prey as once your ensnared in it's mouth the teeth slowly pull you into it's stomach over a long period of time.

The Cell has a working door with skulls in the back to discourage whoever gets so lucky as to be locked inside

The hordak heads were a simple cast made by me and reused 3 times in this custom

    finally the slime pit:

OOzoor hands down is the coolest fan made character to me ever so I had to include this to my fright zone he's customized by me to have the Horde ensignia on his belt the figure himself was made by org favorite Royaltus. This thing broke like 5 times while I was makng it so lets just say I 'm glad to have it done the head opens to allow real slime to be poured into the mouth cavity BUT I wont be doing that till I seal the paint job with a dull coat sealer the fake display slime is a hot glue drip over his jaw when it was covered in petrolium jelly.

Anyways, Hope you all enjoy this one. Comments and suggestions are always welcome

Excellently done! I remember watching parts of this coming together a long time ago (especially with the Slime Pit) and am glad to see it done (or 99%...are the Imps and droppings all you have to add?). The Beast Monster (the puppet) looks just like he did in the A He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special (love the extra rows of teeth addition!), and all your characters--both custom and MOTUC--all fit in wonderfully well!

Oh, btw, I have an extra IMP. If interested, PM me for details.

    amazing work!

it's really cool the way the puppet monster resembles leech and the grabbin' tree's face looks like a mix between grizzlor and hordak:
    very nice touch.

I'd love to know (if you wouldn't mind), what the rough dimensions for this finished were and what you used for materials? I already know how you made the slime pit as I followed the progress thread but I'd love to know how big and material wise what you used for the whole thing Mega! AMAZING WORK!

The droppings are all thats left for the original FZ I had a rough sketch where I add a giant door on top where the filmation FZ would begin the urge to do that is going away quickly As for the monster I dont remember the X-mas special at all maybe on some subconsious level?

Thanks I love customizing I've been at it since 2003 off and on it's a great hobby The horde are where it's at for me so I had to get this done

The picture in your avatar is awsome where's it from?

    It's about 2 1/2 feet by 1 3/4 feet and about 1 1/2 high

The base is ply wood with styro foam fish packing boxes (cleaned and santized, of course) then cut and messured with sections of tin foil hot glued into place. It's covered in a home made material called paper mache clay. You can youtube it. It's easy to work with and SUPER STRONG and this is the best part DIRT CHEAP. The tree is super sculpey over a thick paper towel roll with drilled out branches of tinfoil. the Monster is a 2 litre milk carton cut and shaped duct taped then covered in sculpy there's 2 loop screws for door hinges the door has coat hanger wire in parts for strength and Super sculpy coated the horde emblems are simple 1 sided casts ( my first and only casting job as of yet) I think I'm done with WIP threads. They seem to lose too much steam when the project is done But I'll always fill people in on how I did that? when they ask

Thank you every body for taking time to comment it's appreciated. Off to my lair to work on something else....

DUDE. Nice work on this. I've been thinking about doing a Fright Zone in scale with MOTUC for a while, but I'd been putting it off because I don't think it would fit very well in my Ikea glass case. This is amazing though. Nice work on the puppet!

Thanks, Go for it anyways make it happen the Horde need a home.

Big thanks go to Master english and Mistico for the imp help. My little army of imps is off to a good start. I may try casting some of these. If YOU can help me out I'm offering 5 bucks a pop plus S+H for these guys Cause I can still use some more. Here they are with teela trapped in the FZ tree and some of their droppings added in.

And finally a picture of the slime pit without the display slime which still needs a coating of glossy/non gloss finish.

Big thanks, to those that have replied. Alot of time and effort went into this thing so your input good or bad is welcome.
