Is there demand for hand-made life-sized MOTU busts? Related questions, need answers!

    Hi,
Ive never posted before but am a site regular. I watch all of the great customs people do and it got me thinking. I sculpt heads in clay, busts, props, cast with rubber skins and polyurethane foam solid insides, acrylic painted and then sealed. I generally do horror stuff but always wanted to try MOTU but was shy at the thought of failing in an area that I love so much.Anyway, I just started my first, I picked Trap Jaw, may favourite and he is coming along reasonably well.He is i bit of a mix of vintage and modern in design.I think that other fans might like these too but havent found anyone else doing it (Im sure there must be someone). I was worried about sculpting/selling something that is trademarked, I looked on here in the admin rules section and found:

"8.Fans are permitted to discuss mass produced custom items,
or to post about the sale of their own mass produced custom items,
or to post links to sites selling a mass produced custom items,
as long as they are completely original creations!
Posts must be about mass produced artwork that is handcrafted from scratch or items featuring said artwork
    .

I dont want to break any rules either of the site/or legal but I am surprised that this isnt being done, which makes me wonder why. So anyone with info of the above, or anyone who would be interested if i were to put them up for sale somewhere (if they are legal) and where to put them for sale? Ive read of ways to sell linked to here, but dont know much about it.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

I think if you were selling a motu item i think you have to sell a fair quantity to get into trouble, i know the Grayskull doors have been copied and produced. Im sure you could start a thread in the motuc marketplace thread.

I would love to see some 1:1 MOTU busts! Would also like to see your work, I'm a big horror mask collector and have some pretty awesome ones. But back to MOTU, bring it on please. Very interested to see your Trap Jaw and hopefully many more.
There was a guy that did a really really great Hordak 1 to 1 bust, let me try to dig it up...
Here is the thread, what a freaking amazing piece.

Thanks so much for your interest,I just looked through your customs and wow!!!!!!!! They are all excellent but I just LOVE your new characters, an especially since you have fleshed out the Horde so much. Black Widower and Arachne are fantastic repaints, Arachne really appealed to me. Famine, Voodoo, Feral, Infector, Inferno and Executioner..what can I say, but simply and utterly beyond brilliant. I would have loved to see characters like Infector or Executioner being pitched to Mattel in the 80's, I dont think we would have survived the PC-re-design process! All of the new characters were great, but the ones I mentioned are the ones that would jump out to me first on the shelves as a kid. Honestly, I have never been so impressed by a customs-artist (and especially with the new characters) before. I just hope that when/if you have seen my busts that they are good in your opinion, because after looking at your work, your opinion is definitely important to me.
