I asked this question in the next round of WTFWTK, but figured I would start a dicussion about it. But with new media in the form of the 6 issue He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series from DC Comics, I wonder if the comic was to become a full fledged monthly series, would that be enough media for Mattel to market a retail line based on the redesigns of the characters done by Philip Tan. It`s very different from the 200X line, but it still in it`s own way `hyper anime detail`and different enough to still keep the definitive MOTUC line going. Would you fans be interested in seeing this kind of new retail line. And if Mattel won`t do it, how about seeing some of these redesigned characters come out under the DC Universe Classics line since they fall under the DC comics umbrella. And what about DC Direct. Does anyone know if DC Direct could do a line of MOTU figures based on these redesigns because of DC Comics, or would they need permission from Mattel to do these figures.
