Eh....guess I'm indifferent about it right now. I'll have to see more of him to out of packaging to make up my mind.

Regarding this being made by a seven year old, that's a ridiculous justification. I think MOTU figures should be made with the audience as kids, but not as something you'd create as a kidn. My CAC entries were thought out as things Mattel could have marketed to us in the 80's. I don't see how TMS and SLL would have sold, I really don't. That's the failure with this 30th anniversary line so far (with the exception of Draego-Man).

Maybe they were trying to mimmick Fearless Photog (hey, a kid made him!), in that, this line should be kid's ideas finally brought to light. Photog is silly, but I will say, there's a big difference between a 7 year old and 11 or 12 year old. The 30th anniversary line has been a subpar so far, I hate to say it. Could have been so much more. Holding out hope for the final two figures.

Sssssshhhhh Dont give em ideas!!! What if they pick a Kids CAC just BECAUSE it was drawn by a kid!

The 7 gates of hell will open if they did that!

Talk about Rigged!! that would just implode the place!

That would be terrible. A child designing characters for an adult collectors line?

    Exactly.

And not having the triangle..thing.. translucent, can you buy this figure at Dollar General? Definitely not worth $22 plus shipping.

I just figured out what would make him ok, if EVERYTHING red on him was translucent. That would be cool.

They really should show these figures in time to let us help them make small corrections/improvements at least. I'm pretty disappointed in the direction of this line this year: Spector and Lazer are awful looking, they chose to make Stinkor aweful looking, Photog's cracked, they couldn't figure out how to turn Slush Head's head, etc..... Mattel needs help. They are slipping, and I think the fans could help them make better figures. But it won't help because "Matty knows best."

That's exactly my concern... so far the only creative serious work for the anniversary sub has been Draego-Man. Other characters have been created by children many many years ago. I really hope this trend ends here, no more zero-effort designs please. Medieval Superman / Cobra wil be welcome, I never leave behind a new character, but I 'd like to see some serious adult design in this sub (aside from Draego-Man). The child-design stuff is supposed to be cute? The only one that was justified was the legendary Photog, in my opinion.

In theory, yes. Kids usually have vivid imaginations, and that's great, don't get me wrong. But kids don't have as many limits to their creativity, to say "this is getting too wacky", so a plan idea can go overboard. Personally, I almost think it would be great if a kid won the CAC (a new generation of fans), but I imagine the majority of their designs could end up too non-MOTU and silly, like TMS and SLL.

I keep looking at it and am trying to be constructive, but it's my gut that tells me "this figure is pretty cheap-looking and could have seriously benefited from some newly sculpted "knight" pieces". As they stand, SLL and Spector are two of the least innovative figures in the entire line and their only contribution in the MOTUC parts department are new heads, new armor, and some weapons. Unique boots or belt/crotch pieces for each character would have helped set them apart and make them look better. It's actually pretty pitiful that we're getting two 30th Anniversary figures in a row that reuse that same damn MEF/Roboto/Optikk crotch piece! That's laziness right there. The other thing that's really bugging me about Lazer-Lot is his shield. I think in the "***?" dept. that piece is the worst offender. It's like a pencil sketching of... what exactly? Two eyes shooting down lasers at something? You put that shield next to Carnivus', She-Ra's or Catra's and tell me which one looks like it's from a generic knock-off line. This figure needed to go back to the drawing board- with just even a LITTLE bit of tweaking, Sir Laser-Lot could have been a bad-ass character.

I want my SIR LASER-LOT VS My 200xcustoms ARAMESH or SHE-RA´SRED KNIGHT
Yes. I only display 200x style, but this could be a magic-robot-tall guy.

    But what aboput his bio?

    Well, being objective:

    1) The name should not be highly criticized, it's as silly as Two-bad, Ninjor, Scareglow, Spikor, Man-E-Faces, etc.

    2) It looks cheap, but it is not: it has lot of accessories and a cape, so in terms of costs I suppose it's not cheap.

    3) One real problem is the kind of futuristic helmet... if intented for POG, it would look cooler if a more classic helmet had been used (and yes, he's so alike to Cobra as TMS is alike to Deadpool).

    4) The real major problem is the color scheme... this is an example of how a poor choice of colors can ruin a figure than otherwise could look cool (maybe the sowrd is the worst thing).

    5) As I said before: NO MORE CHILDREN DESINGS PLEASE!

This pretty much sums up my feelings. I don't hate, but it's a bit bland. I almost like it, and I think once it's in hand and I add some paint apps to it then this figure will rock. To me he's the perfect addition to The Great Rebellion. A new Knight battling the Horde alongside She-Ra, Glimmer, Frosta, etc...

Well I guess I'm in the minority, but seeing him packaged he jumped to definite buy for me. He looks like a figure I would have loved as a kid. To be fair, I do have a weakness for Knights.

I feel like the name is the most creative aspect of this guy. He is far to simple and just doesn't fit the POG. So far everything from that era is much more grounded and full of earth tones. He would fit more in the NA style in my opinion. To me Photog is much richer character than SLL which is proof designs can be done by children. It's a shame they missed the mark so much with this guy. I hope the last 2 30th figures are great. Here's to hoping.

I agree with that... if everything red were translucent, that would be awesome. I assume the idea is here is that he is showcased in all his boringness, just as he was on the page having been drawn in crayons back in the 80's by Johns. But they could have snuck some updates in there without hurting our feelings, I mean come on!

Nah...not really interested in this figure although he has some potential. Perhaps is his armor was painted silver (or *gasp* vac chrome) he might appear better. But as is, I think I'll pass on him. Being a good guy doesn't help his case with me...

Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

He's pretty cool! I'm trying to imagine if he existed in the original vintage line what he'd have looked like!

Hey, these and the snake 2-pack are my birthday month figures, and I'm *not* a Snake Men fan, so this is the one I'm really looking forward too. I think he's as good as Draego-man to be honest! I like him!

I am actually excited about this figure; I don't mind the blue. I do agree that Draego is, hands down, the best in the 30th line.
    Say cheese!!!
