I'm going on a limb here (no sarcasm) and say King G, He-ro & now Sir-Laser-Lot are preternia Masters.

If that is the case who are the others? There are others. Right?

They can make them up as they go along, which is fun.

I will never understand why Geoff Johns was chosen to make a figure for the 30th Anniversary of MOTU... other than the fact that Scott is one of his biggest fans...

Scott will continue to justify the choices by saying that only certain people would do it for free...

I guess I just don't get that. lol... but it's not horrible... I just don't understand cost cutting when it come to making the triangle non-transluscent.

    Why?
No he's not a bad figure and I like him, but thank god for the Red mouth guard on his helmet, otherwise he might be uttering " Destro ready the Night Raven for takoff "

People was asked to do it. No one did. they didn't want to do it for free. But Geoff did. he is/was a fan of masters.

i saw the scans of that second minicomic and it makes him look way better however i only saw the uncoloured ones so when i get smaa i may change my mind. the biggest difference i see is that on the figure the mouthguard comes out much further than in the comic, if it was more part of the helmet rather than looking like something that was attached over it i suspect i would like it more.

allthough it is funny that everyone sees superman and im seeing iron man especially with the unibeam/laser projector thingy on the chest

Not saying this to be mean, but it honestly looks more like Sir Knock-Off-Lot to me.

This line needs to stick to characters designed as action figures, and to move far, far away from childhood wish fulfillment cronyism.

I'm all for the new contest winner getting his/her figure made... But to give every comic book writer, artist, toy company executive, stock broker, ice cream truck driver, etc. a chance to create a character and have it made is just getting out of control. Sir Blue-alot is a perfect example of a figure that should have been rejected. Basically we have 2 figures that were previously rejected, but are now figures that poor, unsuspecting 30th sub holders are now stuck with. --- They should of told Geoff, "look, we think your a great guy... but this design is just awful, sorry." So who's next? Another design from a designer from "the toy company" right? This one should be a doosie. I'm sure the next 30th figure will have reversed everything and really "pop".

I actually have decently high hopes for Terry's figure.

VERY curious to see if it's as MotU as he says.

I don't care for the colors and I wish he'd come with a gun (maybe the optikk one) since he looks like a robot to me, but all in all i think he looks alright.

TG needs to confirm if that is lighting or not. if he looks like that in person, then i will most likely get him.

Apparently it's the same exact figure from the packaging. It is the lighting.

Not a fan at all. It's actually worse than Spector, which is a feat all in itself. Everything from the sculpt to color choices screams cheap Dollar Store MOTU knockoff.

Dreago-Man is one of the best figures in the line, very likely due to being designed by adult artists rather than children. I understand why they made Photog, and I think that was the right call, but the rest of the child designed figures have been a huge disappointment and are easily the worst figures in the line. I find that sad as the 30th Anniversary figures should have been a highlight of the line, not the red-headed stepchild.

    Right!

Now, being a 30a subscriber, I'm afraid that next designer on the list will pitch a "wonderful" 3 years old beloved design, and the contest' winner will be a design made by the little son of a big motu fan that is so proud of this cute creature that submitted the baby's drawing at the last minute, instead of the one produced with ADULT talent for ADULT collectors.

We were gonna be a lot better with the 4H designing all of the characters...

Well if it is, he'll get ripped to shreds, as to me a Knight who fires lasers is as MOTU as it gets. The origins of this line were a medieval style with scientific elements

Furthermore, we always get told that when a figure is revealed it's too late for changes, yet 6 months later they were still fiddling with Spector. If they were able to make sculpt and design adjustments to him, why not to Sorceress' wings or Fisto's armour gap?
