Mattel got their money, that seller is losing theirs so YEAH AWESOME

Matty day of sales are now dead to me.
No its not crazy, the seller you bought them from is just taking a loss. He is going to lose around $15 when all is said and done but that is how eBay is so its good for buyers I guess

I slept through the sale (and my alarm ) only to wake in a panic at 5.10 am (3.10pm EST). Thank the Goddess the figures were still there and not 'instant sellouts' and I was able to get an extra 2 Griffins and 1 SMAA (on top of my subscriptions). I now have a SMAA body for original mustache head ... I didn't even think of stockpiling for a future 200x unhelmeted head.

Thees longer sales are great for customers ... but what will they do to Toyguru's effort to convince people to subscribe in a months time if we can all buy figures so easily.

I have been a sub'er since the beginning and the Sorceress/Fisto sell outs have convinced me in buying a 2nd sub now, as long as the sub exclusive is cool.

I ordered two Horde Primes. I am kind of surprised he lasted this long. I guess vintage figures are the main "quick" sell outs.

Ignore the seller fees for a sec--the seller is probably a subscriber that needs the money or is just not crazy about the griffin, and I know (s)he is taking a haircut on the deal, but my point is that it crazy that Mattel is charging so much for shipping for 2 standard figs and a beast---70 + 17 in shipping? Mattel must have the WORST supply chain manager in the world. With as large as Mattel is, and amount that they ship, one would think they could have negotiated a pretty good deal with one of the carriers and passed some cost saving onto the customer.

I am just saying, that I ship FAR less product than Mattel, (about 9000 units/mo) and I have a sweet discount with both FED-EX and DHL---we went to RFP and Fed-ex won our NA business...you just think Mattel could do the same.

Wasn't that much excited for this month's releases... I bought Horde Prime and SMAA.

The Griffin would have been cool but lack of shelf space, emotional connection and money made him an easy pass.

Even though I don't like the idea of an entity or person being over Hordak I still gave Horde Prime a chance cause he is a good looking figure. SMMA.... Well, I want that second mini-comic so I bit the bullet....

In this case it was too tempting not to take advantage of as I don't think Mattel deserves me buying a second one from them when I can pay ten dollars cheaper for one in this case AND have an extra issue 2 of POG to hook someone up with that needs it! Plus i need an extra SMAA buck combo to start a 200X Roboto I worked plans out for.

This is part of the issue too- I may get hosed once every month but I refuse to get hosed twice if there's a way I can avoid it.

    SMAA is almost gone???

I suspect many will be for customs or army builders, since now you can have bodies for the extra Palace Guard heads, and they will look different.

I have 2 subs but I was debating on getting additional HPs and SMAAs for custom work. I missed the noon sale so I thought I missed out. Luckily I got 1 more of each coming.

Just broke down and ordered another SMAA, as a spare in case we do get a 200x unhelmeted MAA head.

To make shipping worthwhile also bought another Griffin and an extra Skeletor which I may use as a swap-base for an extra Dragon Blaster - so I can have both a DB armor on an original Skeletor and an original armor on the new DBSkeletor buck.

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but I took a glance over at the Matty site. Horde Prime is almost gone, and Beastman is sold out. Just the Griffin, Evil-lyn, and Tytus left for MOTUC.

    Evil-Lyn has now sold out.

You mean, still online for customers to buy at this moment. Matty certainly has plenty of Evil-Lyn and most of the other "sold out" items in stock. They've merely pulled them out of online availability until a further date, so as to build up customer expectation in the meantime (an item that is available is not as desirable as one that seems out of reach) and to mask the fact that certain items are long-time pegwarmers.
