Does anyone know what Soundwave will cost? If he is $80 like Thundercracker, I might snag one -- if I find one.
If he is $140 like prime was, I'm out![]()

Eeck. That probably doesn't even include Ravage. No, I just can't afford them at prices that high. I'm not really collecting from any other lines right now, so I can "sort of" afford them in the $80 range. But I can't go beyond that without having to sell off stuff.

Nope, but it does include Laserbeak. But checking on this info it seems that BBTS has their Soundwave pre-order at $199.99. I guess the low price was for us super-early pre-orderers.
Then do it, Philly Cheese Steak! This is the one toy to own! All the cool kids on the block are going to have him! You don't want to be the only one on your street not to have one, do you? You want to be cool, yes?

From what I could tell during a casual ebay search, I could get all five G1 dinobots for around $300. That seems like a better purchase. Nah, these are too costly if they are over $120. I could justify it with Prime since he came with Roller and the trailer. Harder to justify that with Soundwave and a lot of others.

I got my shipping notice from HLJ for Rumble (red) and Ravage.
$45 shipped from HLJ compared to $60 without shipping from BBTS. I got a great deal and I'm glad I still have Frenzy (blue) and Buzzsaw on pre-order with HLJ
I swore I wasn't going to collect this line but dang, Prowl is awesome.

For Prowl, I just might. He was my second Transformer I had as a kid. I got him just a few days after my first Transformer, Starscream. Those 2 figures initiated me into an obsession with Transformers that has lasted ever since.
I know you have Masterpiece Sideswipe. Do you have any Alternators? I was wondering if they are the same scale. I do have several Alternators so if they do happen to stand at roughly the same height I could buy just Prowl and have him hang out with my Alternators.

Actually, I do have quite a few Alternators as well. And I compared Sidewsipe next to Subaru Smokescreen and Sidewipe is about 1/4" to 1/2" shorter. He's actually pretty close in height to the Alternators and looks pretty good next to him. The real difference is girth. The Alternators tend to be a bit chunkier than the Masterpiece Transformers. But pictures speak louder than words so here's a couple of pics you can use to compare visually...

BBTS has new listings up - Wheeljack and Bumblebee look to be next up.
I keep hoping for a Jazz, one of these years.![]()
"That's very interesting...but silly."
I might start collecting these.
Prowl/Smokescreen/Bluestreak have me reconsidering my original train of thought. And now they are going to make Wheeljack and an in scale Volkswagon G1 Bumblebee? Now having a second job makes getting these things much easier. I'll have to hit up some eBay auctions to get the ones that I've missed. That ought to be pretty fun...
At first, I feared that they would only make the major characters such as Prime, Grimlock, Rodiums and Megatron, but now they are starting to make the rest of the characters. The entire 1984 group of Decepticons are out.
The only one I really dislike is Megatron and his really skinny legs. I hope they remake him as they remade Optimus eventually.

I simply don't have the money or room for these. I own the Japanese versions of Prime and Megatron - those were my special "going to NYCC, can allow myself to buy one nice thing" presents to myself over the course of two years, and they stand on either end of our entertainment center in our living room. The others look gorgeous, but I have nowhere to put them, and can't afford them.
That said, my wife loves Grimlock, so I picked him up for her for a birthday when he came out, and as Jazz is my favorite TF, going all the way back, there's little chance I'd pass him up. Soundwave was sorely tempting, though, as I bet Wheeljack will be.

Just preordered Wheeljack and Bumblebee. Can't wait to see pics of these.

I only have two Masterpiece TF's so far. The first is 20th Anniversary MP-1 Convoy which I had bought while stationed in Japan after it was released by Takara. And a 25th Anniversary Masterpiece Skywarp from Wal-Mart.

I only have 20th prime. but that bumblebee sounds interesting as does jazz and wheeljack now all we need is jetfire and I'll be happy lol!(well technically I'm happy without it but I'd STILL like one)
