Amen on Blackstar joining the line.

Dylamug and Ram Man would surprise me, due to being 100% complete new tools.

Any movie/vintage figures since we don't have any and can't know what to expect from them being classicsified.

    Any bigplayset.

They can't do Blackstar. Mattel only got the Filmation rights for He-Man and She-Ra. IIRC, Blackstar is property of another company and it is NOT Classic Media.
Maybe Marzo as an archenemy was the biggest thing to happen to Mekaneck, but as far as Marzo was concerned...it was Tuesday.

I will be most surprised if we DONT see Ram man!
I may just be a Gay Pop fan...but I am also the one who wants ALL of the Figures, who wants this line to continue and who is putting my money where my mouth is....are you doing the same?

THE LINK BELOW IS THE TIME THE NEXT MOTUC FIGURE GO'S ON SALE!

A random crazy monster/beast figure would be a good surprise too. Like the Griffin was a cool thing like that which nobody saw comin.

The Rock dudes, Stonedar and Rokkon, would be a pleasant surprise too. They are my most wanted vintage heroes at this point I think.

And of course like I said previously in this thread, ANYTHING Filmation would be an exciting reveal. Like a Scorpia or Octavia that people been waitin decades for such cool characters in awesome MOTUC figure form. I want Filmation, POP, and Filmation POP.

Grayskull would definitely do it for me - having said that, I think it's becoming less and less likely. Having said that, perhaps the Icon Heroes Grayskull (and Snake Mountain) will fill the gap.

Another character that hasn't been mentioned much is Vultak. I think he could surprise a lot of people. He's Horde, but often forgotten about - probably lost in the Scorpia/Octavia demands. He'd also be cheap to make as he could rely on the standard male buck and furry loincloth.

I *really* hope the elements of surprise aren't left for concept/new characters. The 30th Anniversary characters, Vykron, Vikor and Demo-Man just didn't do it for me.

Maybe I should be clearer about the original post. I wasn't talking about her figure, per say. When Adora was revealed, nobody knew they could even produce her - that's why she created the 'wow' factor. Now we know Mattel have the rights to produce almost any character in the entire mythology, I don't think we'll ever see that sort of moment recreated. Shadow Weaver could have done it, but their epic fail on the MattyCollector site meant that we were all semi expecting her a few days before the show. The thread is about who you would expect but could make you go "WOW!"

This would be one of those unexpected things, if it were to happen. Other than Karg, I think the gold 'God' Skeletor would blow people away! And a Kevin and Julie two-pack...

They certainly would with me, Tom. I'd add Crita and maybe even Mara to that list of beauties!

GREAT selection of ideas. The Sky Sled would be a good tactical move, IMO. The heroes used them in abundance, like the Wind Raider, and it would be cheaper to produce. Perhaps a one-off item like the Weapons Paks? Tuvar and Baddhra BEFORE Two-Bad? It may upset a few people but would probably increase sales of the pair... And Light Hope? Most definitely. Who knows how they'd do him? For some, a coloured 'crystal' shaft of light might not be the number one choice, but I think he'd be very talked-about, much like Starro.

You know, I'd completely forgotten about them, what with the Filmation fuss and recent reveals of the Snake Men two-pack. I'd expected to see Stridor as the Q1 beast, but these guys could increase sub-sales. They are - after all- highly in-demand!

My SDCC 2012 Adora "mark out" moment would be the reveal of my all time MOST WANTED figure....

    GOAT MAN
You know, I'm really not a fan of Goat Man (no offence to you or anybody who likes him!), BUT he could have had a similar effect, IF Mattel had kept the rights to produce 'publishing' characters a secret. If they'd just revealed the 'Filmation rights', Jetlag characters like Crita could have been a massive surprise too.

Agreed - I think Sagitar could convert a lot of people to NA. Really cool character.

You may joke, but this sort of thing would have the desired effect for me! I'd be so pleased to see the Widgets. THIS is the point of the thread - because everyone's expecting to see Sea Hawk, Shokoti and Fang Man for the Filmation side of things... No-one's expecting to see the Widgets!

A heads pack would be a *major* surprise. There are now so many options! But I don't hold out much hope. TG seems pretty firm in stating Mattel's stance.

Actually, this is very true. ANY 100% sculpt would surprise me at this stage (particularly as they feel so far out of reach). Madame Razz would be my big surprise on this front.

My 'Adora' moment will be a 3rd Weapons pack with variant heads for already released figures, and Castle Grayskull.

In terms of figures: Two-Bad, Modulok, 200X He-Man.

I would also say a new version of Skeletor, but there is a new Skeletor around the corner.

But the Tops: General Rattlor. Just like Fisto, with accesories to make him either regular80's version, or 200x Version. This one will really make me loose my head!

Exactly. Plus, it's not even MOTU. It doesn't belong in this line.

There was a statue of Blackstar and a different colored Warlock in the Filmation series.

Are you sure about that? Classic Media acquired the Filmation catalog in 2009.

Well, I guess this means that Classic Media can do the action figures, if I'm not mistaken.

Although any of the Filmation characters (Scorpia, Icer, Madame Razz, Lizard Man, Fang man, Octavia, Imp, Strongarm...) would be particularly welcome, I would be really surprised by a Rock People 3 Pack!!!!!

Good surprises? About the only things that could really blow me away would be grayskull and '87 movie rights...

I'm more worried about bad surprises... Like Very little pop or no mini comics characters revealed, though I guess neither of those would be particularly surprising......
Photog is here! thank you, Mattel!

Now how about some mini-comics love (like Lodar, Geldor, Dakon......)? And Mermista?

I'd be surprised/ extremely happy to see:

    Rattlor, MODULOK, Saurod, Stridor
...and Dragon Blaster Skelly (still can't believe I'll actually get my most wanted variant! )

You can go to www.classicmedia.tv then take a look at their portfolio. They got Bravestarr but not Blackstar.

PS: Filmation's Ghostbusters are also not on the list.

Scorpia would be a nice surprise but if not her then some decent representation for NA and POP would be a nice novelty.

Just because their portfolio doesn't list many Filmation titles doesn't mean they don't own the entire Filmation library.

Correct. Classic Media still has the rights to Blackstar, regardless of what's in the portfolio.

I think I would be more surprised if they weren't. They'd be a great subscription incentive.

Classic Media released a Filmation Ghostbusters DVD in 2011, so it is very likely Classic Media has the rights. Ghostbusters has also been on retro television packages with He-Man, She-Ra, and Bravestarr in the past.

In this case I'd say it never felt so good to be proven wrong.

I say bring on Blackstar and Warlock!

Considering we've seen soooo much already, I am going to be stunned if there is much more to show other than the Sub Figure, maybe one or two more fig' reveals and probably the change in the sub... is there much more?
'Tis the wind and nothing more.....
