    Guys, they ARE legit.
    Those were released in Japan in the eighties. It was not uncommon in Japan for american action-figures to be sold in box instead of blister card (Battle Beasts and Star Wars figures are other examples that comes to mind).
    The original advertisement sheet pictured above is from my collection. It is actually a catalog that was included in the box with each figure. I also own a large promotional poster (size 24"x16", if I remember correctly) of that same painted art that is featured on the catalog (with He-Man on the Battle Ram).
    The art on the box of the figures is from the same artist.
