A fun little painting I did for a friend's son

    He-man small.jpg

I visited my friend back in April, and she has an 8 year old son. After watching some superhero cartoons, he asked me who my favorite was. I told him He-man, and he asked me who that was. So we went online and watched some of Pixel Dan's review videos and I drew some pictures for him and he took an instant liking to them all. Turns out his dad collected them growing up too. So he dug his figures out of his father's barn and brought them home. The boy ran around with a flying fists He-man, Battle Cat, Terror Claws Skeletor, and Panthor for a whole week after I left. In my absence, mom has reported that all her kids are watching the Filmation cartoons and loving them. And I got a drawing of He-man and Skeletor in the mail a couple of weeks ago.

So I thought I'd return the favor and send him a painting. It's just a quick 8"x10" acrylic painting I did on canvas panel. I actually wish I'd spent more time on it, but he'll love it. I think I'll do a Skeletor and Panthor too.

Thanks! It's so fun sharing MOTU with a new generation, and now him and his dad have one more thing to share together. I only wish I had $100 extra to buy him MOTUC. He'd crap his pants if he saw them in person (I live in Florida, they are in Illinois, so he'll likely never see my MOTUC collection).
