    Cool stuff.

I wasn't going to buy it at first since I wanted to be old fashioned and not believe in Digital Comics, but I said what the hell....threw in my 99. It's worth it even just to support teh brand. More worth it than a song off of terrible iTunes (which I dont believe in) is.

It made Sir Laser Lot's figure more justified to me. I'm actually looking forward to him. He doesn't look that bad. My only complaint was he was too blue. He looks pretty awesome in this digital comic though. A LOT more cool than this rendition of the Evil Warriors. They looked like **** imo.

Great news. This can bring new fans to MOTUC. What a great way to advertise the toy line!

No which is why I hope/think Dan was just kidding? It does get the MOTU brand name out there again so that's a plus though!

Cool news! I bought it last night, read it twice. Thought it was a good read, considering SLL is a created character. I'd like to find out more about the dude.

That's pretty cool. 23 out of 122 is pretty good. It's ONE spot above the Northstar Wedding comic! That was hyped/advertised everywhere, including local news stations across the world! I would say, it's a good showing for MOTU. I hope the Battle Cat issue sells as well or better.

It was not allowed to, most Comixology releases are not allowed to have ads in them

The one way they could cleverly get around that is by advertising an accompanying mini-comic that just so happens to be packed in with MOTUC toys- I'm pretty sure that would fall under cross-branding given the Mattel/DC relationship.

How dare you guys use facts when there are completely reasonable, fabricated complaints to be had!

In this day and age all you need is to get a small window of exposure. If someone sees the cover or reads the summary and is enticed they will hop on Google and discover the toys and everything else. Ads are not nearly as vital as they used to be. Sure they help a ton but people will find the toys based on this comic, if they found it. And this comic was pretty darn good. I love the new Beast Man look.

I wonder how many new subscribers MOTUC has brought to Comixology? I know I signed up because of it.

Hellll yes! I've been plastering that share link EVERYWHERE on social sites and I've gotten tons of messages telling me "oh snap man I didn't know they brought back He-Man" or "woah a new He-Man comic? and there are toys? SIGN ME UP!". Yeah Mattel, I'm pretty sure there is a market here.

Given the cover shows a character no one outside the line even recognizes, that is pretty good. Looking at the property as a whole, we haven't had anything MOTU for about a decade, and the 2002 stuff passed completely under a lot of folks' radar. Considering that, opening in the top 20% of the online comics is a very hopeful sign.

I am hoping this leads to a regular series in the end, as new media like this can hopefully push the toys and efforts to get a new movie going (although the latter will not happen until Mattel gets back the MOTU rights wholesale from Classic Media).

I'm excited. I don't like the SLL figure, but I do like his character in this book, though the name is still attrocious (it doesn't fit the tone of this story at all. As much as MOTU names can be construed as silly or corny, I think the play on lancelot is too over the top. Just like the proposed Hans -Ome character in the 80s, reaches too far imo.

BUT this wasn't too bad. Hate evil-lyn's new look everyone else I'm ok with, trap-jaw and Tri-klops being the best IMO.
