    I purchased the issue a few days ago. It was my first digital comic purchase ever and considering it's MOTU, it was well worth it. Can't wait to purchase and read the upcoming Battle Cat issue!!

    That is good, considering not a whole lot happened in the tale. Now here's hoping that the main book has the same kind of reception. The brand does seem to have a pretty good habit of surprising people lately; a lot of folks doubted that the toy line would last very long, even Mattel, and it far exceeded expectations. I, personally, wouldn't be surprised if the same happens with the comic books. I've always felt the property has a lot more strength, even today, than a lot of people give it credit for. There's a reason it was such a huge success back in the 80's...

    EXACTLY! it dominated the 80s more than Star Wars and essentially there isn't much difference bhetween the two. SW leans more towards the more science fiction sie of the science fantasy genres while MOTU lends more to the fantasy side of things, but there is ZERO reason for MOTU not to work today, ZERO.

    Great news, especially since the book has not even been out for a week yet. Let's hope this momentum carries over to the main book when it's released next week!

    Glad the comic hit #1... while I don't think realistically this is going to open the floodgates towards a new movie happening any faster or a MOTUC Castle Grayskull playset arriving on my doorstep within the next 2 years, it IS good news for the upcoming comic series itself. Here's hoping subsequent issues do just as well
