    New lot vintage customs

Some new customs, some customs I've made again cause they where sold (with some changes) and some customs I made a second one off with a little change to see how they would look.

The Filmation ones.. well, you probably now them by hart so I'm not going to bore you all with names and info.
The ones sprung from my imagination I'll try to name here but I'll be updating my site (when I've got the time) soon so you can check them out there with there bio and more pic's.

    Attachment 76894Attachment 76895Attachment 76896Attachment 76897

The guy with the "pink" spiky armour is Front-Line. A battle Veteran that is a solo army. The gun fits in the Blade loincloth (on teh back where the sword gows) and the Sword hangs on the back of the armour on a spike.

The guy with the 2 claws is Scorpsting. An Evil henchman of Skeletor that is based on a Scorpion. For me he is al muscles with a poisen in his sting that works like a truth serum.

The He-Horde man.... well I thought Hordak could use his own Faker type.

The Lava-cat is the cat that belongs to Hordak, again to even up the odds and give him his own cat.

The dog type is a guard/sentry for the good guys, he snifs out trouble wherever it is named guard-dog cause I couldn't think of a better name

You can see more pic's of them on my site, link below.

AWESOME! Love them! I like the changes to scorp sting and bear hunter. The Granita is fantastic and super clean and the imp turned out great. Favorite new one.... is front line but they all rock. Great work buddy! looking forward to seeing more.)

im generally not into motu vintage customs but man, those are truly amazing!!!!
I partuclarly like the horde he man and the other in the first picture showing a beautifully repainted spikors armor. I love specially the color you choosed. theyre not brilliant at all, remind me of early 80s desaturated colours...love them!
the robot is quite brilliant too.

Thanks Snakeeyes, the Lava cat was a custom started by my brother but he gave up on him, all the drilling is his work but he'll be proud to hear the news!

@ Def. Thanks buddy, had a lot of fun redoing the Bear-Trap and Scorpsting good to have them back in my collection
The Imp was realy easy, just check out the Ghostbusters Belfry figure, just needs a repaint, some hair and a bat logo. The Granita figure was a real pain with the gold/silver paint, every little fault sticks out and she has been brought back to the work bench over and over and over again.

Got some new figures picked out for customizing, hope to start on them soon when I get all the parts.

Lava-cat is insanely cool Would have been impossible to animate given Filmation's limitations, but wow!

Thanks Deltaindia, it's a big factor for me to keep my customs in line with the original MOTU stuff that has been produced.

    Tiger-Boy, you've made me blush.

Disneyboy, for me the filmation artists are demi-Gods, so in my mind they can do everything

Docfairday, glad to hear you like them and the site. Only problem with the site is creating enough space to get them all on there. I'm always running out of storage room for pic's.

Thanks Lulu-Berlu Reg, Garn is officialy my favorite to at the moment.

Oh wow! Vintage customs! From The Netherlands, what's not to like?
I really love Scorpsting and Front-Line. Very creative, great characters and wonderfully made. It's been said before, they fit right in with the vintage series without looking 'off'.
Also, I always felt that Belfry looked like a pink Imp. But I never knew he has a figure. Great (perfect) base figure for Imp! Well done!

Thanks all for the great response and digging the fantasy customs. Great motivation to keep on customizing.

@ E-man, thanks man, trying to keep the Dutch customs flodding the org.
I came across the Belfry figure and the likeness was to big to ignore. There are a couple of versions made of Belfry and this was the first one I could pick up and I was realy happy with the size of him. Still looking for the other ones, the stance is just a bit diffrent to the one I got, more dinamic.

Alright so I dug through my shed and found 2 boxes of beat up heman and headless bodies. My obvious question is what do you do to secure the legs?

Uhm I'm ashamed to say but I just pick them apart.... so the arms, head and if they got some armour/ weapons I keep that apart for use in the future if needed, there is always a hand with chewed fingers or something like that.

I do know some guys on the org. can/know how to pop the ball socket thingy out of the legs (from the top of my head it's a boiling water trick thing)and redo the rubbers but I havn't tried that yet.... it scares me a bit.
If the base figure can't stand on his own or has bad rubbers I disregard them for custom use cause I do wan't them like they should be with ditachable armour all round and working legs.

I'm really impressed by how smooth these creations are. That Granita-type figure is a beaut!

Thanks inhibitor. The Granita-type custom is based on a female rock people image I found on the org. Colour wise I like her more as to the regular Granita, but that's just my own personal taste. Hop the pic comes up!
