Thank you, Toyguru & the 4H, for the inclusion of Netossa in Quarter One of 2013:
That made me buy TWO Subscriptions for 2013... TWO.
You told me, in person, at the booth during SDCC, that her cape was her "accessory." Horde Prime has a cape and comes with a lot more than Netossa (cape, extra head, helmet, cross-bow), and he has been sold at a lower price, AND had an accessory cut.
She is being sold at the new higher price ($25 / $27), so I am confused by the lack of pieces that the vintage toy had. The fans on her face aren't connected to the cape as in the cartoon, and clearly look to be placed such that the toy-inspired blue/silver headdress could be clipped there.
As a LONG-TIME Mattel customer, who has spent tens of thousands of dollars on Mattel product in the past 5 years alone (DCUC, JLU, DCIH, MOTUC, Retro Action, etc.), I am offering my opinion as a die-hard, loyal Mattel customer:
It isn't ok to cut accessories from a Princess of Power character at this new price in order to save money else-where. Please try to figure out the budget some other way. Slot-in a character like red Beast man to make up the cost (you did it with Snake Man-At-Arms and it worked fine).
I understand that you need to "balance the year."
I understand budget restraints, but this figure lacks an accessory that she had as a vintage toy. MOTUC is supposed to be better than the vintage lines, not worse.
Jitsu comes with all of his vintage accessories, and 2 extra. Why not cut his extra blades and put them in a weapons pack down the line so that Netossa can have her mask (which isn't a new item)?
Or cut the Sword of the Ancients from Fang Man and save it for a future Weapons Pack? Cutting items that are part of the original design, isn't cool. I understand that you may have no nostalgic love for this character, or many other POP characters, and that is ok, but many of your most loyal customers do.
(She should also have been given the Bubble Power She-Ra sword in white with a blue gem, or in blue with a white gem, or white with a white gem, as the vintage cross-sell art depicted both she and Spinnerella with those swords in their appropriately appointed colors).
You said on the matty forum that it was too late to add or change things... but other figures have received changes with less time, and you've even commented on how Frosta is still being tweaked for October.
Please consider my loyalty to the brand and your company, and toss this Great Rebellion fan a bone... or, rather, give me what I am paying for in the other figures' cases.
I would be most grateful!
Congrats on a great SDCC!!!!

'Tis the wind and nothing more.....
