the 3d concept of sculpting is very new to me. I only just seen of it not that long ago.

If you go this route, if you want to save on cost, design the robot to be hollow and therefore uses a lot less material

Oh, that looks awesome! And I agree with Dark_Phoenix, make them hollow. Not sure how though (maybe the head could be screwed on or something like that; I don't mind "some assembly required" myself). Heck, if the arms come separated with plug-in ports like Swift Wind or Griffin's wings, then all the better so it has some articulation!

yes it is going to be hollow
which height do u think guys should be?
remember smaller = cheaper
possible sizes : 13cm about 5.1 inches / 11cm about 4.33 inches / 10cm about 3.9 inches
the skeletor robots usually were pretty small so what do u think?

10cm would fit perfectly for vintage line (Rotar and Twistoid are 10cm tall without the base), since there are some of us who would like to get this robot for our vintage collections.

So maybe 11 cm would make them better fit next to MOTUC and they still aren't to big for vintage, while 13 cm seems to fits only into MOTUC if that isn't to big for them as well.

10cm works for me! They were just a little bigger than Orko (maybe Orko and a half) in the cartoon.

I really like the design, but am not thrilled with the 3D file and feel this is a missed opportunity.

Top head portion and arms should have swivel lock articulation.

The arm should have a curve, but not the left or right so it can be used on either side. THEN - you can make multiple arm attachments with different tools to make your army look different.

This is an awesome piece. I really like the suggestions by BadVermin to include some swivel cuts. I'd love to try to print this piece on my Maker-bot. I think if the main body is split at the head, both pieces would print pretty cleanly. The arms would probably need multiple cuts and prints to make them work though. Dark Knight, if you are up for me trying to print this out, send me a PM and we can discuss ideas.

I was about to mentioned that before i saw this post... I agree with Tim; the work is great but it looks out of scale.

Are you making them Ricardo? If so, how much time did you spend on making it?

well of course is not the best paint app im thinking how to make shadows on this material without an air brush but well this give u an idea
