WWE Meets MOTU feature on WWE.com this week!

I received a tweet from the executive editor of WWE.com Craig Tello tonight letting me know that starting Thursday on WWE.com, there will be a feature titled WWE Meets MOTU! This feature will include several images of WWE and MOTU action figures meeting in the squared circle!

A sneak peek image of Stinkor and Michael Cole was already posted, with more to come! Pretty cool! This is sure to bring more attention to the MOTU Classics toy line!

This was actually extremely smart cross branding- I always thought they should have done more with the whole Kofi wearing Battlecat tights atire that time.

That's awesome. I've always suspected that Triple H was a closet MOTU fan. I wonder if he had something to do with this. I bet he even has the sub.

Castle Grayskull entrance at Wrestlemania, the iron cross on his trunks and just the overall look of his physique and hairstyle all evoke the spirit of He-Man to me. In fact it's clear now that he's just been indulging his MOTU fantasies this whole time

I'm going to grab my son's WWE figures and play out a PPV.

Main Event: Undertaker vs. Mighty Spector. Buried Alive Match.

I guess the extra promotion is cool, even though I couldn't care less about WWE.

So it's pretty obvious what the new sub is now...

Personally I'm 10000000000% in favour of this. It's about time Mattel exposes this brand to more people. The DC comic, the USA Today article and now this, promote promote promote. I'm not a fan of TG but I'd love to see him on Live with Kelly or something pushing the brand even more.

Is the toy on the left real?
Do they really make action figures of dudes in suits?
Those look like so much fun!

    Awesome exposure!

I know CM Punk is a huge MOTU fan. I shot a commercial with him a few years ago and he was telling me about his vintage collection and action figures in general. He sometimes can be spotted hitting up Walmarts in Lockport & Joliet IL looking for figures.

Love the exposure but wrestling holds no interest for me...
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

If it gives us some mini-comic repaint variants like the TRU MOTUC figures, then I'm game! It could be a good idea if wrestlers are always wearing different colors.

This could be pretty cool. I look forward to seeing what they do with this.

Battleground Teela and Maryse vs Catra and AJ

I would also kill for a MsChif figure.

I think the website cross-promotion is a great idea; however, I do NOT want them to actually produce any WWE/MOTU 2 packs. DC vs MOTU did not work and neither will WWE vs MOTU. Mattel shouldn't try to force customers into other brands when all they really want is MOTU.

I love WWE! This is just something fun to view on Thursdays. This is a great idea! With the WWE army millions strong, this hopefully, will bring MOTU awareness.

WHAT! Next you're going to tell me that Sheldon Copper is some fictional character played by an actor! Fake or not World Wrestling ENTERTAINMENT is such a power house that it can only help MOTUC. I agree that I would never want to see a WWE vs MOTUC 2 pack though.

Oh yeah. I say we relate our childhood heroes to the trashiest television available. Why not porn? Or Fox News? Or Jerry Springer? I mean, as long as it makes people see the brand, right?

The current WWE is aimed more at late elementary school aged boys. It has really been cleaned up from the earlier attitude era. It is about on the same level as Pokemon (or Filmation He Man) as far as trash TV.
