The Shadow took this later pic of the Castle! If the man in the background is of any indication, then this Castle looks bigger than anticipated! It might not scale correctly with Classics, but it might be close enough to fudge!

Well that case is a Detolf Ikea case which is about 14 inches by 14 inches so the Castle seems to be about 12 inches by 12 inches. Still Awesome!!!!!!!

Love that Castle Grayskull! Now, where'd I put that enlarger-ray?

Judging by the Ikea case it's in, it's under 12 inches.

Grayskull miniature looks pretty good--though not exactly the definitive Filmation-inspired version I would like it to be. It doesn't seem as grand as I would think it could look since it's already a miniature and not in scale with figures.

RE the big red dragon Wow!! I love how they did big G's face! Great combination of the minicomic and Filmation looks! If those are Draego-Man's wings, they did a good job not making them look as dinky as I was afraid they'd look. Gah, he's going to kill my bank account.

I agree, they were smart and combined the best elements of BOTH looks as opposed to all mini or all Filmation. I will happily pay up to $100 for him.

the [VERY] interesting thing to take note about on Castle Grayskull is its look... that would have to have gone thru the marketing department. WHICH means [IF] we get a MOTUC castle grayskull or Castle Diaorama... thats its appearance.

I LOVE Granamyr!!! Must Have!!! He's perfect IMO...exactly how I envisioned he would be. That castle is amazing as well. Even if it's way too small for the classics figures it'll still look good on a shelf....a small one overlooking the others as if it's off in the distance......

It's important to remember it's a tiny sculpture, made for display. It is probably not practical to add a bunch of long, thin bone-like structures like the back of the Filmation Grayskull to a model like this, as that would make it fragile and iffy to handle. Same thing with the towers. Make them too tal and thin and they may break.

It's the tininess that made me think it could be proportionate to the size of the castle in the cartoon, with the foundation root things being rendered as a texture. Instead, much to my surprise, this looks like it is proportionate to what an actual MOTUC playset might be like. Given comments I've seen from other fans, that was probably the wiser course to go. For me though, it's like someone made a miniature of the Millenium Falcon based on the proportions of the Kenner toy instead of the model in the movies. But since there's no primary media for MOTU, I think I am very much a minority on this. It'll be interesting to see what they do with other settings like Snake Mountain, Eternia Palace, or the Fright Zone. Ack, I hope they don't use that awful Etheria Map version for the FZ!

If that's the Ikea Detolf display case, that would make the castle about 30cm/12" so a MOTUC figures shoulders would be inline with the top of the drawbridge

Granamyr is a letdown, but that Castle Grayskull is gorgious

More Grayskull pics here. Can we expect the Castle Grayskull statue to be sold for $99 like the same company's Thundercat playset statue? The business card states "$TBA" and also states this figure is set for release 1st quarter 2013.

$80 is a fair pricepoint I'd say for granamyr. I was expecting them to release one closer to $125. It will be fun putting together a collection of treasure chests and small coins/gems to display with him.
