I'm actually jittery this morning in anticipation for the contest results. I submitted about 100 entries. I figure, if I don't win, at least I know I'm getting a really awesome figure since it beat my ideas! If I do win...I'll just be...so...happy...!!!!
I had to move a dead kitty off the road this morning, so a big pick-me-up like that would be swell.
(No; I didn't hit it with my car.)

Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. That makes absolutely ZERO sense.
You know the amounts, so just take the $$$ in August/September, set it aside and (here it comes...) DON'T SPENT IT until December?!?

Ya know, I only submitted one but drew about 20. The first one I did is the one I submitted and definitely the strongest, which is why I submitted it. While my others had good concepts and ideas, I just didn't feel strong enough about them to submit. I guess I just should've to up my chances...but I realized that if I didn't feel strongly about them, would I feel strongly about them as a figure? And if I didn't...how could I expect others to?
Plus, if I didn't feel strongly about it and it won...I'd feel guilty knowing that plenty of others submitted concepts that they did love.
I don't expect to win because of sheer numbers but I definitely hope it's somebody that is present on the forums so we can see their excitement.

Good point, WDW. I did feel pretty great about all of my submissions though. I do a lot of writing (fiction) and drawing/doodling, so designing new fantastic creatures and characters has always come easily to me. (Sitting down and finishing a novel...not as much!)

Christmas season and in some parts of the world, Winter time can be hard on the wallet. Not only do some people have hundreds or even thousands of dollars to spend on gifts for family and friends, but Murphy's law can come into play around December with heating bills, broken water pipes, etc. I agree with you but during the holidays its the worst time for Mattel to lay it on thick with large, expensive items.Seriously, someone help me understand this...

Because POP might have minimal representation? NA fans are probably REALLY scared in that regard. With 200X, I think it's more of a factor of "get it right" and don't cheap out on the variants.
