I stared at the monitor 30 seconds but I still cant find the words...
To me this guy is like Sir Lazer Lot. Cool concept, but the execution of the figure if not good. I don't care for the bright colors on Cy Chop, and the head makes no sense to me. he has furry legs/shoulders, big scizzor arms, a robo chest and a T-1000 head? Why is it solid silver?
Too bad, I was excited when I read he was to be a villain, but he is an easy pass for me.
Perhaps his DC Comics digital comic story will help you make up your mind

I like him a lot. He reminds me of the kinds of things I'd see in the toy aisle in the late 80s and think to my too-young-to-swear self, "What the hell?"
It's almost as if this figure isn't designed to fit into the MOTU of the 80s... it's like it was designed to fit into where the MOTU brand would have gone had it not been cancelled.
I have absolutely nothing good to say about this figure. It's horrible in every way.

i like most of the mythos Mattel created around new characters such as the fighting foe men, vykron, gygor and so on....if the figures youre saying are the continuation of motu it will be just not my cup of tea anymore because Im in love with the sci/fi-barbarian/(plus a little bit of lasers) concept (thats why FFM) and those guys are simply not fitting. I would love the team at mattel take more inspiration from early concepts for the stuff in the future...Originally Posted by TheFallen

There are figures (Draego Man) that use the various parts well and it doesn't look forced. This just looks like they threw a bunch together randomly. He is an inferior version of Strong Arm. I was excited that he was a villain (especially Horde), but it's another mess of a figure. They could have at least incorporated red and black into his color scheme.

It's not for me, but it seems to be a better "fit" for MOTU than The Mighty Spector and possibly even Sir Laser Lot.

Its creepy. It looks like from an old japanese movie. Not my taste. So the 30th sub was a waste of money for me. Half the figures i can throw away.
I only like Photog,Draego and Grayskull Man. Mightil Spenctor, Laser Lonz and this abomination here, are not my cup of tea

Cy Chop is indeed embarrassing. Maybe he would look beter without those ridiculous hand-things. Perhaps if he came with interchangeable, regular hands?
I like his head though, based on a Japanese Oni (demon) mask.
His beastman feet and lower legs are totally out of place!! they look so wrong!
I like the design of the character a lot. To me he looks like some kind of Frankenstein monster that was assembled by Modulok.
I agree. Orange and blue doesn't scream "Horde" at all.

Why would I buy this figure when it"s going to crack and I can't play/pose it? The judgment of the men in charge, based on the new characters they are giving us (30th sub except Draego, Foe men, etc...), is pretty scary. TG has some talents but expanding the mythos isN't one of them. They picked and approved the name Castle Grayskullman. ugh.

Look, I was all about Sir Laser Lot and I even dug The Mighty Spector, but this...this is awful. I have a real hard time seeing it when people say that SLL doesn't fit, because I can immediately see a vintage style SLL and Spector reminds me of some unproduced NA character. This just looks like one of the cheap knock-offs. While the completist in me says that mine will have to be kept intact, it'll be kept intact in the far, far back of my display. You know, that spot that's too big to be left open, but so hidden that you can barely see what's there. I'm making a Fright Zone, perhaps he will be the giant snake's snack...
I hated Spector, liked Laser Lot but I LOVE this one! As mentioned above, it looks like it's from a Japanese monster movies. It's definitely got an Ultraman kaiju vibe to it, which I think is cool.

I like Cy-Chop a LOT! However, if/when we DO get a Strong-Arm figure (Filmation), Cy-Chop will feel redundant as they are the same colours and such.

I like the color scheme but the scissors are a bit too huge for this line and the belt loops have nothing to hold. The beast legs hurt the design abit due to being randomly tacked on as his metal mask doesn't seem to indicate a "furry" of any sort. It's closer to matching the spirit of the originals than SLL or Spector though!
Your support means more research for the Myostatin-challenged.
