Weapons Pack #3 Discussion

I'm not a huge fan of everything Mattel and there puppet Toyguru says and does. Like the $5.00 price hike in figures. But really a huge hi five for the new weapons pack that includes all those weapons scratched from the figures originally. Also Zodaks mask less head. So awesome to get all these as they said they will try to do at some point. The only weapon I think that was not sen yet was TMS whip. Again this is what separates this toyline from the rest. Thanks.

I would much rather buy these types of weapon packs then simple reprints of accessories I already have...and if this ensures we get fantastic paint apps then I don't mind waiting to purchase SOME awesome accessories later. Thanks and awesome job!

Ironic, also I think that the weapons pak is called 'The Great Unrest Weapons Pak', since the fact that these accessories were cut caused unrest with the fans. Interesting choice of name there, I think

I'm glad he came thru on this even with the lack of Spector's whip. He knew how bad everyone wanted all those pulled weapons. I know I've been pestering him for a "deluxe Weapons Pak" for months now.

While I'm happy that we're getting these cut and new accessories, I can't help but worry that the overly warm reception to this bundle is going to give Mattel the impression that they have no reason not to cut more stuff from future figures. Not when they can just throw them in that year's Weapon's Pak with some other crappy repaints to gain a bit of profit. This is especially concerning given that costs are going up considerably next year. I don't see any reason why we couldn't have gotten Keldor's swords with Spikor or Man-at-Arms' blaster with Dekker. I guess the days of the secret/bonus accessory are over, now they'll just become the Secret Accessory Weapon's Pak.

Thirded. These never should have been cut, and if you are going to make a pack with cut items, include the missing heads that the 4HM had sculpted.

Great to see all the lost items in one pack! I'm sure they would have added them to thier original figures if they could have, but with figures like Draego and Horde Prime coming with large items, I knew it was going to be a tight fit (especially since prices are rising, but those figures were still stuck to the old price point). So I'm glad they found a way to fit these back in. Awesome job!

It's a bummer that they had to be cut to begin with, but I think it's great that they managed to "complete" 4 different characters in one set rather than waiting and hoping for these to be randomly included with other figures over time and subtracting from their piece count. I'm honestly surprised since I wouldn't have expected for just about everything to be jammed in there.

I'd have liked the Spector ship, of course, but I can understand the logic of not including it if only one non-A-list character can even use the thing.

Hoping we get some more Weapons Paks like this in the future... newly sculpted weaponry and artifacts instead of simple repaints!

Indifference, I think. I'm not angry at Mattel, nor am I pleased with them.

I'm glad these weapons are getting released. I'm glad Mattel did that. I'm not so glad that they didn't come with the figures they should have come with in the first place. So, yeah - neutral. Looking forward to it, though.

Indeed, hi-five to Toy Guru! I'm thrilled about the new Weapons Pak--it's potentially one of the reveals that I'm most excited about!

Evil-Lyn, Keldor, Man-At-Arms (200X), Draego, and Horde Prime are going to look awesome with the stuff included for them, and TOD Sorceress will be able to leave the dusty confines of Grayskull on falcon's wings as she's meant to. As for the repainted Clawful stuff, I think that'll go perfectly with Dekker when he comes out, and Carnivus' sword and shield is perfect for King Miro (200X)...wait, we still need that one, Scooter!!!

While I'm happy that we are getting these "pulled" weapons, I fear, like others have expressed, that Mattel will purposely pull other weapons in the future and throw them into another weapons pack to try to "nickel and dime" us.

I hope it doesn't go the way of DLC in some videogames, where some companies are releasing "unfinished" games and releasing the remainder at a supplemental cost.

For now, though, YAY!!!!! Finally we get Draego-man's weapons!!

Now if we can get that head-pack.

Seriously. Promote figures with cool stuff and then when it comes time to produce everything (after we have all plunked down money thinking we are getting everything shown) yank everything out. Then issue them later and charge money for them (even though we already paid thinking we were getting them). Not cool.

The high fives should be coming from the executives who should be thanking him for finding a way to squeeze more money out of us. Leave nothing on the table eh?
