That tough image is more in keeping with Glimmer's role as the leader of the Rebellion before Adora came on the scene. I know she's the Princess & heir to Brightmoon & all but the fact that she's drawn with huge round eyes & a small round mouth with full lips, not to mention the flat boots rather than heeled boots as Adora wears kind of portrays her as immature. Definitely not someone Rebels would look up to much less the Horde be cowed by. That said though, I do love Glimmer as a character but I don't think they properly utilized the full magnitude of her Light powers in the cartoon.

Oh BTW ... I did this comparative look at Glimmer color schemes which I thought was a fun thing to do
