Well here's hoping. I got my MOTU sub but am not buy a DCUC one and wouldnt mind getting a few of them from BBTS.
I sent a letter to Big Bad ToyStore asking them when they were going to list their 2013 MOTUC preorders. This was their response:
"Dear Robert,
I have passed this along to our Productions Manager.
Please continue to check the website for further updates.
We appreciate your business."
I know it isn't much, but if enough people who truly plan to buy from an online reseller make the inquiry, it might help get our sub numbers up. It's at least worth a try.

Good news! I hope this helps some of our friends who don't like Digital River!
I figured I'd email too. I have 2 subs, but I've spent a TON of money with BBTS. And maybe I'll preorder another figure or 2, who knows?
Thanks to everyone at Power-Con! It was an incredible experience!
One thing to note from the newest RGD:
"Take out the subs that Big Bad Toy Store buys and you're still at 95% of people buying 1-2 subs"
So it sounds like resellers not snapping them up isn't a big consideration.
Probably not a huge part, but every sub sale counts at this point!
Thanks to everyone at Power-Con! It was an incredible experience!
I hit them up too. I got the response you did, but then a followup one as well:
Thank you for contacting BigBadToyStore
I have contacted our Product Department and was informed that the 2013 Masters of the Universe Classics preorder information should be available soon. Please stay tuned for further updates and have a great day!

No Rotar? Go rotate!!
The thing about online retailers is they mark stuff up. So the cheapest option is the sub.
Spikor just came out, and he's listed at BBTS for $34.99. Plus shipping. If the sub is cheapest, why not do it?
"A Race 2 What And Where We Going?
We In The Same Boat
But Eye'M The Only One Rowin
Last Time Eye Checked U Were Sleepin'
…but U Can Call Me A Dreamer 2"
That's all fine and dandy until some thing like 500 sets of FFM pop up on Ebay for $50-$60 while BBTS has 100 of them for sale at $100+.
Who do you think that all of those "loyal" customers are going to buy from then? People will cancel "Pre-Orders" left and right with-out hesitation.
I understand your passion in an attempt to drum up business and support, but you gotta be realistic at the same time.
Are people still going to show support and keep their word when the time comes at the expense of their own wallet? Chances are HIGHLY not.
I have personal business dealings all of the time in the real world and I can tell you that unless you have a written contract in place, that what you're proposing is as good as nothing as people will fly the coop at the drop of a hat.
People "ultimately" won't care about giving a place like BBTS their business when the time comes if they can get the same thing for a better price elsewhere.
It's all about *me* and what can I do to save a dollar in the end. I'm sorry, but it's just messed up to entice somebody like that when it's not at your own risk and with-out legitimate commitment.

Be careful with this, guys.
People are trying to "organize" things like this in threads, which are publicly available to view, and if they start getting inundated with people sending them "please carry MOTUC" based on that, it's going to lose any possible effectiveness as they know most people won't actually end up buying from BBTS or whatever retailer.
I hope people who use resellers do contact their merchants, this thread is a really nice way to get that message out.
However, I hope no one abuses it and sends inquiries to resellers just to make them think they will have more customers than they will actually end up with. If they increased their MOTUC subscription orders on false interest then they'd be stuck with inventory they couldn't move and that's not cool.
It would also leave them with a bad impression of MOTUC.
Ask not for whom MOTUC is made, it's made for thee.
Agreed! If you hammer the online retailers with desperation, they won't touch the line with a stick. We have to hype it up, not take a 'save the line' stance. To them, if a line needs saving, there's no money in it.
Realistically, we know that Ram Man would sell out in a day, heck an hour. Jitsu would sell out. etc.
I haven't tried to entice anybody to do anything. All I did was point out that those who may not by a sub because they rely on resellers may not have resellers to fall back on unless resellers place an order. Those who do not shop with BBTS, should not contact them. My point is just to make sure that the cherry-pickers who rely on resellers actually contact the resellers to show that there is still some demand for the line. People who regularly buy one or two figures but not a sub should contact the reseller they do business with, whether its their comic book store, BBTS, or anything else to make sure that they know they are still interested in MOTUC. That is my sole point.

I'll go ahead and email BBTS tomorrow as well. Hopefully every little bit will help us get over the top! Long Live MOTUC!
It's all about being polished when it counts!
I'm a subber. I also buy from BBTS, though mainly older ones I missed out on before. But I do preorder some that I think will be difficult to get (or well, as used to be the case anyway). If BBTS orders say 100....added to the 300+ we have documented so far from the org.......that's quite a few. I know, it isn't going to be the 50% we need, but it will help for sure. Hopefully we can get the word out in the next few days, and hopefully those here who said they were waiting for payday can still afford a sub. Keep the faith peeps!
Just heard from BBTS!
There you go!Hi XXXXXX,
I have been informed by our Product Manager that the MOTU 2013 product line preorder listings should be available very soon. Please stay tuned for further updates.
Have a great weekend!

Take this wit ha grain of salt, but someone on the Matty forums said that BBTS has already placed their sub orders, so their numbers are already included in our current percent.
I got nothing to back that up, though...
I got this message after i asked about a certain figure : Hi - we plan to carry 2013 subscription figures, so this figure should be listed at some point closer to the actual release date - thanks

Thanks!
Only one of anybody.
I'm not subbing, so for me every secondary source for these figures is a positive.
For example, I'd have no problem pre-ordering Ram Man for around $45, and I don't think I'd be alone.
Perhaps Mattel should take note of that . . .![]()
Especially because we KNOW they can take pre-orders for "on demand" figures - they are doing it right now for Superboy and Miss Martian.
So, logistically - they have the capabilities to do this.
I'm sure Scott would say, "Well, we could do it for them because....(insert generic, buzz-off reason)", but obviously, they COULD.
Should the worst happen, they should start throwing up characters and taking pre-orders. While I'd love them to do it on a character-by-character basis, it would likely be in 2 or 3 packs (you'd have to buy Jitsu and Neotessa to get Ram-Man, etc.) but it would work a lot better IMO. And if they don't sell enough, THEN they can blame us for not wanting it bad enough, LOL.
It *can* be done.
