Are you sure that's not a young Randor?
So, the 2013 Mini-Comic shows our first ever look at King Miro's wife.
Question is, is she Keldor's mother, or Randor's mother? Chances are this one is Randor's mother based on the color of her clothing which is very reminiscent of Randor's garbs...but I thought it was interesting nontheless that she now has a visual representation (and likely a name too which will be revealed in the MiniComic)![]()

Are you sure that's not a young Randor?
That's a young Randor...![]()
I bought TWO 2013 Subscription as support, because of the promise that showing support will ensure 2014 will include ALL the major POP and NA characters.
I thought that was supposed to be King Randor and Queen Marlena...but the "King Randor" has white hair. I think MISSILE-TOE might be correct. That might be Miro's wife. She sort of looks like the Fighting Foe Woman...
EDIT: Okay...so a little different.REALLY reminds me of her though, red outfit and belly showing.
DOUBLE EDIT: OH MY! I'm such a fool! That ISN'T a woman...THAT'S King Randor! LOL!!! I thought everyone meant King Miro was King Randor!Wow...I just...I just can't.

The Brothers of the House of Miro have the same mother and she's Gar!
But a problem I have with that cover is that Young Randor is already garbed in royal clothing when we all know Keldor SHOULD BE in royal garbs as he was the heir apparent. I hope they are not gonna screw with that plot line and ruin what would be better development of the character.

Where was this confirmed that they had the same mothers? Perhaps my memory is faulty, and if so I welcome anyone to set the matter straight, but I thought that I read they would have different mothers when Ian Richter was answering questions years ago about what would have transpired in Season 3 of the MYP Cartoon.
In any event, interesting to see Keldor "dressed down" while still bearing the Royal Crest seen on Randor's staff.

Victor P.
I had the same exact thought when I saw it, gbagok! I also love that they've given Keldor a royal crest broach on his rather plain tunic, LOL! I do hope, however, that they give Keldor a bit more of a princely look before he's banished (which we know from the bios happens after Miro is taken out by Marzo).

I thought it was woman also when I first looked at it. That being said, if it was one of their mothers I would have to go with Randor, not because of the clothes but because of the skin color. Skin color is more prominently passed onto children than clothing style and color.![]()

It's coming from me since I feel it would create better drama and development of the characters of Randor and Keldor. Since I do not know what Mr. Richter said or what MYP had planned, I put this out there to suggest a new view of it.... why couldn't she? I don't think Mattel is going to follow everything MYP (no offense) which I thought had the tightest continuity and story going, so I'm embellishing my own theory which would add more drama to the story of Keldor and make the events in his life more tragic. Mattel Classics Canon, MYP Canon, DC Comics Canon, Mini Canon, I think there's room for ideas and thoughts outside of the many already existent....![]()

Pertaining to your statement of there being more room for ideas and thoughts outside of the current continuity, I never implied otherwise.
I was just wondering if there was some definitive statement that said Randor and Keldor had the same mother. Personally I do think this is an overlooked aspect of the story, as there has been no mention of Miro's wife in any medium (comics, cartoons, etc.) as far as I'm aware.

I thought it was said either by Richter or Toyguru that Keldor and Randor had the same dad but different mothers. While I see potential in Randor's mother being a Gar, I still think different mothers has quit a bit more drama honestly, particularly as it appears that Keldor was the first born and so there's a sense of being replaced by Randor to fuel some of his animosity on top of the racial bias. It has Isaac and Ismael written all over it, and that seeded a conflict that goes on to this day. There's a touch of melodrama that I can understand some fans really hating because of the older undeveloped demon origin, but personally I never felt Skeletor needed to be much more human than a skull-faced Cthulhu which is all the demon origin brought to mind. I like that there's something relatable even sympathetic in his origin as MOTUC is telling it, something some of the greatest villains like Magneto and Dr. Doom share. Fwew. After all that I hope I like the comic! I've had my own ideas about the schism between Keldor and Miro and I'm wondering if they'll be at all similar!
See this is where I feel the same mother would even have more of an affect. Imagine Gar mom has two sons; one Gar / one Eternian and with the political turmoil Miro was facing during his reign in keeping the peace between Gar (who seem to be a more highly advanced race ) and Eternians (who feared them despite the diminished numbers of the Gar) his stronger feelings of Randor over Keldor would also highlight these racial issues tenfold, especially with Keldor being the elder son and possibly the Prince of Eternos. Imagine being born or destined to do something great and to be knocked off from that path because of your looks or cause your dad wants to please the masses; MAJOR mind eff! I don't think Miro having affairs would be the stronger of the two roads (if that was where you were leading....) Because in turn it also can play a part in Randor's attitude towards Keldor despite the animosity; he's well aware of why Keldor turned out the way he did and deep inside there is still some pity in his heart for his brother, Drama, Conflict!!!
Here a theory I had was that when Capt. Glen was discovered it was to turn out she was to marry Keldor rather than Randor, but with Keldor's obssesion with his birthright she eventually felt emotionally pushed towards Randor who of course would try to defend his brother to her yet eventually fell into the love trap (like on soap operas LOL) and this became another trigger to Keldor going aps-ish on the whole Kingdom.
I think the relationship between Randor and a Gar mother would also be another emotional layer...
I definitely would love to flesh this out (along with a lot of other theories) and get this on the boards and send you a copy considering you been rocking the bios yourself.
'Tis the wind and nothing more.....
I always thought that Keldor was the son of King Miro and a Gar Woman, who had died. Randor, Stefon and the unnamed sister were from a human woman, who married King Miro.
