We won't be in "line extension or expansion" mode, but as far as the bare min to move forward at least with 2013 as planned, the fans really stepped up and I hope to have great news in the am!
anyway we can get a video update in the morning? I actually really enjoy those. I want to see some MOTU party hats and celebrations!

Ok, here goes my first post...

I've been a lurker here on this site since back when the 200X figures were out at retail. I never joined the forum simply because you needed an ISP provided e-mail address and I never bothered to register one (always use hotmail or gmail)... but, I've wanted to be apart of this community literally for years now.

I finally got around to getting a new ISP and therefore an ISP provided e-mail.

Today, just moments ago I got my first subscription... I have almost all of the figures thus far MOC but, I've gotten them at retail (a few of the variants I've passed on)... I got burned this year though when the local comic shop that sells them decided to sell Shadow Weaver at $120.00... that irked me pretty bad. Now I was thinking of simply picking up a Ram Man and calling it quits (my office is full of these guys, with ~70+ figs and running out of room) but seeing as that Rammy may never happen... Mattel, you get my money this year ;-) Comic Book guy (I'm looking at you Big "B" Comics) you won't be... here's to hoping that enough go through that it happens... but personally, I wounldn't mind a smaller subscription either... give me one a month alone (nothing extra) and I would be more willing to go along in 2014... 12 in a year (including vehicles, beasts, or whatever) and I'm happy... this year has been more than enough!

Nick Cage is probably the only guy crazy enough to buy a million dollars worth of subs. He could go on late night talk shows and pass out free figures to the studio audiences all next year.

Guys, I need a hug cuz I think I'm about to burst into spontaneous geek-a-fied tears re: the above!! Wow... this community has really stepped up and I'm both shocked and heart-warmed. I feel like we need to have a PTSD (post traumatic sub disorder) party at SDCC next year. I mean it. We need some way to congratulate this great community, backslap, and thank all of those who laid down their wallets in the line of fire to make this happen. Awwwwwwww..... here I go......

I just subbed at zero hour. I wasnt planning on it for many reasons but most of all necause i can barely afford it, but i really enjoyed seeing the enthusiasm from fellow fans these last couple weeks and i wanted to do my part in ensuring the line continues on even if im not interested in most of the figures aside from vintage motu.
long live motu and its many great fans!

I think Nick Cage has been buying a lot of Club Infinite Earths today. These are the creation dates on the actual images as shown in Firefox's properties. The DC subscriptions have literally doubled between Friday morning and Monday evening. Why does this intense marketing effort for MOTUC seem to be working better on DCIE? Maybe yodafreakmaster accidentally clicked the wrong subscribe button.

It just shows that the thermometer is a lie. I wonder if they realized they hadn't updated it enough, and had to catch up.

We have really come together as a community, all the posts, the fans stepping up, even trying to create solutions to help our international friends, incredible!!! No matter what happens, it has been a honor, and a privilege to be a part of the org and this great group of fans! We have done all we can, people stepped up to the plate and OVER DELIVERED!!! We've more than done our part!!!

Mattel hear our plea.....LONG LIVE MOTUC!!!

I really thought DC Infinite Earth sub was dead in the water with no hope. Just maybe there is a chance this year.

Or (less likely) this truly represents reality and this many people are subbing up last minute to keep DCIE alive. BWAHAHAHAH... I know right? Seriously though, I really do hope all three of the major sub lines go through for 2013. It would be a nice cherry on top to all of the stresses and strains surrounding this topic lately.

Welcome to all new .orgers and new subscribers! I hope Club Eternia 2013 happens (I really think it will!) and I hope we have a fantastic year. The past week or two has made me VERY proud to be an .orger. The fans really came together and had some great ideas on how people could get around problems preventing them from subbing. LOTS of positive energy from the entire He-Man community, not just the .org. The German fans rallied together too. A+ effort from all the MOTU fans. I know it sounds a bit sappy, but I am very proud of everyone.

Ok, guys, at this 11th hour, I'm buying a second sub. Fiance promised me she'd sell all the duplicates on Yardsellr.

We did our job. We can all look back and remember these days. For a while there, we were on the verge of bickering and tearing into each other. Instead, we rallied and put MOTUC first.

Now its Mattel's turn. If they can make a good 2013, the 2014 sub will be no problem. and we can
We survived the long night.... MOTU Forever!

I think ToyGuru lowered the bar on DCIE. There's nothing in the thermometer that says they can't change what quantity 100% really stands for. Maybe due to some "last-minute number crunching" ToyGuru learned they didn't need quite as many figures to be 100% on budget as they thought. Otherwise you have to believe DCIE had huge movement over the last 3 days, while MOTUC's movement was much smaller during that time, and had its biggest movement during the week before this weekend. Which definitely means a lot of people aren't buying both subs at the same time, which could be true I guess if the fanbases really are separate.

Could be that DC has a lower base number of subs they needed to sell so each last minute sale counted as a larger chunk. DC gets away with far more "just a new head" tooling costs and typically has far fewer accessories. Or not, I don't know. I'm honestly also surprised that DC has made such a huge leap when I've seen a far greater push for MOTUC going on.

Great to have you aboard! I subbed for the first time this year because there's no way I'm ready to let MOTUC die, not until we get all of the vintage characters in Classics form. It should be a fun year...and if the vintage blowout takes place next year like they say, it'll be awesome!

here's another idea to consider: DC fans really haven't gone thru the flaming hoops that we have up to this point with Digital River.

Don't forget that as of right now, MOTUC is the big headliner for Matty, and our sub has gone on the longest time.

And the 2012 sub buyers for DC....well didn't even meet the minimum necessary, so not as many people really experienced what we have for so long.

And maybe with 2013 they won't experience it at all; only time will tell I guess.

I hope DC makes it as well for those fans, I just couldnt justify the sub again this year. Hope the morning has great news and we are over the 100% mark and have enough to at least get us 1 beast in 2014. (Mantisaur would be nice)

I also really hope Club Infinite Earths pulls through, even if at a slightly higher DoS price. I love that line and would like to see those second stringers and team fillers produced, I just couldn't commit to both MOTUC and DCUCIE this year (though I'd still like a chance to pick them all up on the secondary market one day).

I am toying with the idea of a DCU sub, even though I don't care about most of the characters they've shown thus far simply so it could try to keep going. Though honestly, I don't have any idea what one subscriber would do for it....
