The Tweet (about six hours ago) is that it is now officially Sold Out of all tickets...

I will post on the days to let anyone know if that changes (as it has before).

I think matty is saturday either 12 or 1230. It says on nycc's page.

I actually might have 2 friday passes available if anyone is looking. I'm going to offer the to my friends here in town and if they don't want to go they'll be available.

    NYCC Master thread

Posts photos, Reviews, Video, complaints...all could go here! thought it would be good to have a master thread for it rather than stick it in the ticket thread below...
How does thursday shape up so far? I want to go to the literary authors panel, but I don't see it listed!

Combined this thread and retitled it, just so that we don't have two concurrent threads. Feel free to discuss plans, meet-ups, news, etc. here.

    interested in seeing pictures!

    what a mess...

I missed the chris lloyd panel. filled to capacity. people tried to rush the door to get in. Same with Batman panel.

The Photo Op lines where a mess.. the attendants could care less from froggy photos....like they hated their jobs. first you have to wait an hour in line to get your tickets, then another line for the photo. Any you can't buy tickets either online, or for separate days. You have to go back on that same ticket line the next day if you want someone else..

but did get his so i'm happy..

The Only things I DID see where a bit of inside the batmobile and the full Turtles panel. At least that was fun, with surprise extra guests.

Tommorow, going to try and get ian mcdirmid photo op..stan lee and batman..as well as joel hodgson...plan to get early to that at 1:30

Imo you should not need to "work up the courage" to say hi to an artist, actor, writer, producer or director. As I've often said, artists, actors, writers, producers and directors are what they are because of their talent, but also because of fans. I feel any performer or artist should be happy and delighted to not only say hello to a fan but to thank them for being one. Meg Foster at The Power-Con was an excellent example of this -- gracious and genuinely interested in the fans. I'm certain the extremely talented Mr. Adams feels the same.

There are some celebs who are on the show floor. I need to work up the courage to say hi to Neal Adams this year!

today was a little better..still crowded...

We found a 'secret' stairs entrance to bypass the escelator crowd, thanks to one security guy who found out his dolphins where winning . The photo op line for tickets was non existant. I walked right up no problem. Stan Lee cancelled just as i was about to go on his line for the weekend. but I did get Batman and Robin and Emperor Palpatine who looks much different in person.

other than that, not much else to do anything that was interesting. Saw Joel Hodgson who autogrpahed my tom servo head. got some pictures with the bots...
not a bad day. tommorow will be even shorter with elmo and ian..

Had an awesome, but very tiring, day yesterday. Got to meet Val, went to the Matty Panel, meet a lot of great folks!

Here's a shot of my wife and I (our second year doing cosplay), as Calendar Man (Arkham City) and Calendar Girl (DCAU):

I was there! We sadly missed the Sunday panels but we did get to walk around the show floor, mingle with fans, and buy some stuff.
If you saw me you'd know it. I was *I think* the sole con attendee cosplaying as Dr. Insano.
Sadly I left my camera at home. Had a lot of fun though. Hopefully I can make it out next year again but for more than the last day.

EDIT: Here are two shirts I bought at the con. I think the vendor was called Wall of tees or something along those lines:

They had a really awesome He-Man one where he was on Battle Cat but it was only available in XXL. So R&S were runner up for a second shirt.

I was actually surprised how mobbed it became. Usually other cons I've gone to the last day usually dies down, as the
panels are mostly over with. Still had a great time though.

Saturday did feel *really* packed, even later in the day. It felt a lot more crowded than last year, at least in terms of maneuverability.

Saturday was chaos..... but sunday early was hell on earth. The staff were mostly clueless and really didnt help me find anything I was looking for. One of the guys at the Lego booth was a MEGA jerk to my girlfriend and I wanted to pour a bag of legos down his throat. Over all great guests, crappy event.

Still cant believe Chevy and Craftsman has booths there..... really? lol! They really need to limit the Anime stuff back to its own con to keep the numbers down or limit tickets a slight bit. Not to keep beating a dead horse but near the escolators doing down near the matty booth it always REEKED of B.O.!!! UGHHHHHHH!!!!

I saw that Orko - grabbed a pic as well! He(she?) was right by the Lego booth when I saw them, doing the whole magical-finger-wobbly-thing from the opening intro of the cartoon.

There was a POP meet up on Friday that I didn't get to see, but I know a couple of the participants, and I saw images of a He-Man, Skeletor, Sorceress, and Horde Prime (of all people!) in my searches for images. (We did a lot of pictures with random people, and now I'm trying to find them all!)

Yeah it was a real mess and lack of organization on some parts this year!

One example was they had staff go to all the booths with a notice saying they were gonna open the doors a 1/2 hour earlier from Fri.-Sun and come Friday they didn't, Sat. the opened around 9:45 and Sun. 5 minutes to. CRAZY!!! Just glad I was there 1 1/2 hour early everyday to set up the booth and take my own stroll through the empty aisles.

I saw it as a bummer that Artist Alley was sent to Exile Alley but then again I guess it worked for the Artists, just didn't help us at small press this year; usually people would run off into the our area and take a look at our stuff and possibly become new readers. This year we got shoe horned into the area where they kept the Book Publishing Industry (last year) and if not for the fact we were right by the walkway opening it may have been worse.

And I won;t even begin to say how bad cel service was in there; we couldn't posts updates tweets or pics in most areas of the floor. But then again they charge for WiFi....

Tried to get Walking Dead wristbands which were announced to be available @ 7:00am on Sat. and got sent every which way but and the one line I finally thought it was was simply the line for the IGN Theater and after asking a staff member where would I get them they said the AMC people had them... but never said WHERE?

Did do a few things I had planned like meet the Bella Twins, pick up a Queen Marlena and some He-Ro's (for 20 bucks) got the tumblers, some more TOD Sorceress' and some met some other guests and get my networking on! Crazy, Chaotic but it's good to see the turn out getting bigger and bigger!
'Tis the wind and nothing more.....
