I know the names being mentioned doesn't have to mean those are figures in the pipeline anytime soon but I was excited to at least see Batros is on their radar!

I know alot of people moan about how terrible the sub experience was, but I haven't had any problems with the subs and I have one every year. The only problem for me is the greed of UK customs.

I feel bad for the 4H. They make great figures and then because of incompetence of DR and the shoddy QC by Mattel, the line falls apart. I don't think I've been dissatisfied with a figure (maybe Clawful & Buzz-Off) because of the 4H. Things like Adam's missing sword holder, Stinkor's arms (with *pop*), and backwards shoulders have unfortunately ruined some of these great sculpts. I still plan to try and purchase DoS, but we will see if there are any figures on DoS or any at all...

Save the line. Save the line. I've been quiet for a while but this while issue with subs dropping sucks. It will be bad if this line goes away.
    Oh well whatever never mind.

Well, normally I'd be pretty stoked that the 4H specifically mentioned Mermista and Peekablue, my two most wanted figures. Unfortunately, it's kinda feeling like salt in the wound at this point.

I'll make you a deal Cornboy: if the line ends, I'll make you a Two Bad and you can make me a Mermista!

Hopefully this will appeal to some of those 4H fans who might not be complete MOTU fans like all of us.

The 4H are the best in the biz. I'm not getting a sub because I only buy what I want but the figures I do buy are amazing.

The Four Horsemen are awesome. This is the best American action figure line ever, largely thanks to them. If it dies, it will be a shame regardless of the reasons behind it. Fortunately fans do have a say in if the line continues. I know many of us dislike Mattel's and/or Digital River's handling of the line. Many of us want to see Mattel commit to more changes but it's not going to happen. At this point it's either subscribe and hope the line continues, or let it go. I'm for subscribing and continuing to advocate for improvements by Mattel. The alternative would be far worse.

Yeah, but Orko would never have worked in the movie, especially with the small budget they had
Come on, Gwildor is an awesome character and his lines were nothing short of brilliant

Gwildor is such an grotesque creature. But he's somehow cute and funny in the same time. I really like him most from movie Would be glad to own him in my collection. I'll try to get one sub through someone from US on forums, who is willing to help (I know it's not really a lot, but i can't afford more, and I want to help keep MOTUC alive! can't imagine line canceled )

I signed up for my sub, same one I get every year, as soon as they were available this year. I keep thinking, maybe I ought to pick up another, just to help, but I really wouldn't have any use for it. Not to mention that, even with all of the efforts to get folks to buy subs in the last few days, we only raised the required amount sold from 46% to 50%. I'm not sure my one extra, bought-it-just-to-help sub would even be a drop in the bucket.
I understand what you mean! Little more then 50% is far from what we need. But you said that the sub rises only from 46% to 50% in the last few days. In actual fact the sub raised from 46% to 50% in less then 2 days.

Dude, they only showed 25% of the total offerings. Odds are great you'll want more figures.

How badly have things gone that the 4H now have to be the spokesperson(s).

Yeah, I think it's time for Mattel to change their thinking. Desperate times call for desperate measures!! They need to meet ALL fans/customers halfway... The Sub model is clearly not working anymore!

Like always, those problems are brushed under the carpet !
Agreed! As much as I respect the 4H, unfortunately unlike they said, it's more than a "few hiccups"... that's grossly mis-representing the situation. What about those Subscribers who didn't get Fisto??

    That's a little more than a "hiccup", that's more like full-blown gastro!

This hideous mentality of blaming the fans for everything is ALSO what has brought MOTUC to this sad point. If the line is endangered, it is because the persons in charge at Matty and Mattel repeatedly REFUSED to listen to the fans, take action and fix the problems !
    THIS!!

Fans don't "have the power"... Mattel has the power... the power to fix the problems and address the issues! The fans/customers are obviously trying to send a message, but Matty/Scott/whoever refuses to listen. The proof is undeniable - the blind faith in the Sub Model doesn't work anymore... people clearly aren't buying "promises to fix the problems" anymore either.

Poe Ghostal did a poll on his site - the NUMBER 1 reason people aren't subscribing... DIGITAL RIVER! That tells you something...

I'm not sure which is the bitterest pill, that the line could end, or that it will come with a slew of miserable "It's all Mattel's FAULT because they didn't list to US (ie, ME)!" rants that are already doing nothing but pushing some of us away. If this is a big game of chicken, Mattel isn't going to flinch, they'll run down this little red wagon lemonade stand and never look back so it's not like any dissatisfied customers suddenly have clout because the line could end. If it ends, Mattel won't care, and we're the ones who lose. Vote to end the line by not getting a sub by all means, but don't expect an audience to an angry eulogy. I think a lot of orgers are going to just go away for a while rather than listen to anymore of it. Just my feeling, as valid as most of the others I've read.

That's right, and it was before the full-on panic set in where everyone, except people with their heads in the sand, realized that 2012 has a real possibility of being the last year of the sub. Our goal is not impossible.

Would a Video from the 4H Help?

This is part question and part request. We've seen a video from TG, and some have been swayed by what he can convey as far as the seriousness of the situation via a more in-person format than His letter. Could sub sales benefit as well if the 4H make their own video?

I know they're busy, but if anyone has contact with them, perhaps we could ask them to shoot a quick video. They could even have Cornboy crying or something at the prospect of not getting to Two-Bad.

Maybe there would be something that would legally prevent them from doing it, but I don't think it would hurt to ask. Is this something that Val or any of the other RG crew, or anyone else that knows the 4H on a more personal level could do?

Well, it certainly wouldn't put anyone off. An emotive, face-to-face appeal would have far more impact than their written statement - If they "accidentallly on purpose" left a few maquettes lurking in the background it might help too.
