I wondered about that too. I saw that on the SDCC pics from various sites. I'm not sure if they're going for a damaged look like the electronic Power Sword or if it's an oversight. Hmmmm![]()
I was just looking at the new pictures of King He-Man and I noticed that he is missing the left ball off the top of his crown;
Has this been done on purpose to look aged (much like the Techno Sword) or is this something that has been missed by the design team?

Crow T. Robot
"Mike, what the hell is this?!"
"Into the sea of waking dreams, I follow without pride"---Sarah McLachlan Possession
Prototype.
Probably snapped off.
I saw it the moment he was shown at SDCC, but figured it was sculpted that way to show battle damage (like his sword). It's too smooth and painted, to be a break. I would LIKE it better if it was a full, non-broken crown...but I think it was intentional.

I did notice this as soon as I seen the pics from sdcc. I was just chalking it up to being an error or broken piece and we would get the little ball on the finished mold. I hope we get it. Other than the power sword, I don't want king he-man to be the most ragged king in the universe. It just wouldn't suit him imo

Motuc red zodac gun
Horde Primes Red mystery head
Specor buck
You're right. They probably took that tiny piece off his crown to keep costs down.
I hear that one of Dekker heads only comes with one eye for the same reason.
It's kinda lame if it was intentional. Because then the only battle damage on this figure would be to his head. He-Man needs to learn to duck.

Found the picture I was looking for! If you click on it to see it's full size, it looks intentional:

Hmmm, maybe it is intentional then.
It's battel damage, he's got a scar, his sword looks like it hot tossed threw hell. It's battle damage people.
Still too hard to tell. The proto's are usually made of resin and small parts like that are easily breakable. It could've snapped off in time too late for a proper fix, but it was touched up with pant. Someone should ask TG.
While were on the crown subject, doesnt the iron cross on it look a bit too...religous? Nothing wrong with that per sé, but this shouldn't be the route Matty wants to go. Just an observation.
I assume Scooter will say "Wait for the Bio!" and there will be something about part of the royal crown being damaged in Spectors Great Battleground The Sequel or something.
Hope the final version has all his balls. Not loving the asymetrical look
He who dies with the most MOTUC wins!
if it is battle damage why is that the only thing wrong with it? why not have it all scratched and beat up like the sword. it looks to clean with just that 1 thing wrong with it.

Yeah, a battle damaged sword kind of makes sense, but a broken crown really doesn't. If It's part of his royal armor, with the pristine chest plate, cape, and ceremonial staff, you would think it would be treated with the same care as everything else. Are things so bad in the future, that crown repairing technology has been lost to the ages?
Personally I hope it's just a broken proto and the final figure will be consistent.![]()

In my mind it's an upgrade to the his 'Battle Armor'. While he may or may not still have the Power of Grayskull... I find it hard to stomach that he's just an 'ordinary guy' now...
And in MY Canon, The Battle armor regenerates... Magically repairs all the damage done to it. Just like the original toy.
Therefore I'm FINE with the armor looking spiffy and new all the time![]()
I think that's battle damage. Looks fine to me
Awesome sticker included!
just gives off a battle-worn look to it; I kinda like it.
"Whoever says money is evil...doesn't have it"- Boiler Room
That's the most subtle battle damage ever. Doesn't seem right.
the Horsemen could always be asked on Facebook about it.

IF it is intentional, it is odd, to say the least. I can totally understand the scar on King He-Man's face. But a damaged crown !? That's usually THE item kings want to be perfect, because it's the symbol of their royalty and power.
