Horde Troopers in 2013? [Possible Toy Guru Hint]

This is the latest from Toyguru:

We are at about 91% so you guys are doing it! We are so close at this point to hitting out goal. We can't move forward without 100% (since that is the absolute bare min to produce these figs at $25.00 a figure). If you have any last min questions I'll try to hit the forums. If you are still on the fence, today is the day to vote for more MOTUC figs by supporting the 2013 sub! Looking at the line up, 2013 really is the strongest year I think we have ever done. We have more POP, NA, Filmation Snake Men, Horde Members and an Army Builder pack fans have been asking for for years now all waiting on the green light for 2013. It really will be a great year and I can't wait to announce the 2013 sub moving forward tomorrow!
I think we're getting the Horde Trooper two-pack this year!!!
Take part in Illumina Day! Let people know who she is and help get her in MOTUC.

All Club Eternia items released so far this year have been more expensive for non-subscribers (monthly figures, Star Sisters, Griffin, etc.) so why would you expect anything different for next year? They already said monthly figures will be $27 for the day of sale, $2 more than subscribers will pay.

If it is the Horde Troopers, it solves the mystery of what the $50 item is going to be.

As for why they didn't reveal it at SDCC, I can only think that the Horde Troopers weren't sculpted yet. They wanted to have Ram Man push sub sales and then they probably wanted to answer the question of what the $75 item was, which probably left the Troopers out in the cold.

I'd be just as happy with Skeletor's robot knights as with Horde Troopers.

I dont see how the Horde Troopers would have sold so many more subs. It seems to me that army builders would just wait for day of sale. On a side not, i would love Skeletor's robots.

This gets me more excited! I've always wanted to bulk up Hordak's men, and this would be one way.

An army builder two-pack that people have been asking for literally for years? Widgets... does NOT compute. Neither do any of the other sarcastic (yet funny) possibilities. Nope, gotta be Horde troopers. Oh wait... Matty also said fans had been clamouring for The Fighting Foe Men literally for years also, hmmm.

They were asking for the Fighting Foe Men. Just not all at once.

To be fair, we can't assume it's Horde Troopers just because Scott said it's a fan-demanded army builder. Remember: he said Fighting Foe Men were fan demanded, and they seem to be what single-handedly doomed 2013. So, for all we know, this 2-pack will be the Star Sisters' cousins or something.

On another note, I actually look forward to the FFM. I'm one of those people who wants everything, including Random Villager #'s 1 - 19.

I'd expect the price to hit $60 for day of sales customers if it is Horde Troopers and they need the extra $$$ due to subs not hitting 100% (they will still sell well since many cherry pickers will buy them anyway)

As for those doubting a DOS price increase, apparently they did just that with the DC sub last year and went ahead with the current subbers price locked in for subscribers.

Seriously if they cancel all the subs and increase prices, offering the the current reveals at $30 or above I'm out, since there will be no chance of Scorpia or Madame Razz. There is no point in supporting the production of Ram Man and Netossa in my opinion if its thats it after those are out. At best I'd buy Fangman only from the current reveals at an higher price.

    10 figures I'd like: 10/Filmation Tung Lashor, 9/Saurod, 8/Perfuma (for completeness of POP ONLY!), 7/Sprag, Sprocker and Spritina, 6/Peekablue, 5/Hunga the Harpy, 4/Sssqueeze, 3/Filmation Clawful, 2/Dylamug, 1/Queen Angella.

The Horde Troopers would sell by the bucket-load and give Mattel a handier budget to play with for the 2014 line...

I've seen the odd person say they really want these at best. I'll be mighty unhappy if thats the $50 item. I'm a Filmation fan, but even I don't have any need for those! Not at $50 anyway!

Seriously!! As no joke!!! IF YOU WANT HORDE TROOPERS 2-PAK!!! GET A SUB!!!

    Here is why....

    1. It will help support the line.

    2. [most importantly] - If the sub doesn't hit minimum, they will reissue our funds an reset the bar at higher prices for a new shorter run sub... which in turn will cost us [roughly $10 more per "Standard" figure] on day of sales... so that translates as a army builder running [roughly] $80 EACH for "day of sale" item sales! BEFORE SHIPPING!!!

If you want multiple Horde Trooper's GET A SUB NOW!!!

And that is the kindest thing to say about that from the top of my head right now...
Pretty sure they thought ram man would've been enough...when I seen him I thought it would have been enough.

the whole situation sucks. I really hope scott is lying to us right now and we hit the min and he's just trying to line mattel's pockets...it'd be a **** move but I would rather that then him telling us the truth and not hitting the mark.

Toy Guru was just directly asked over on Ask Matty...

    http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve...7/m/1991019967

... if he was indeed hitning at the Horde Troopers coming in 2013... here is his reply...

Toy Guru: I can't say. But 2013 will rock I'll tell you that. It is in my opinion it is our strongest year to date. Adn it does have the highest tooling bill!

...sounds like an . [as much as unlegally say kind of comment confirming it]!

...an so everyone knows. the $50 [2 standard size figure quarterly slot us unknown still].. so sounds like we are going /or were going to get the Horde Trooper Army Builder in 2013.

...subs guys... come on! SUB UP!!
