Here is my custom of Battalion (King Grayskull's Lion) showing what happened to him after Grayskull's death.

Battalion - Transformed Defender of Castle Grayskull
Real Name: Qadi

After the death of King Grayskull, Battalion was left alone without his master and companion. Using the powers of Castle Grayskull, Veena transformed him into an anthromorphic version of himself becoming the next Defender of Castle Grayskull. Battalion continued to defend Castle Grayskull until a new champion, Vikor, was found. At which time he retired to a hidden village to start the Qadian race and relinquished his sword to the new He-Man of the North.
