Should Mattel release "blank" armorless & headless bucks at a reduce cost 4 customs?

It has been my desire for the past year and a half to have a blank white / black bucks in order to customize my extra figures.

They could come in a little sealed baggy and run for about $12.00 - with cheaper shipping .Heck! I'd buy about 5 of them right now if I could.

I mean seriously,I HAVE LIKE 20 extra heads!!!plus accessories , plus armor, plus blahhh all this other crap.


So you know if that works, I'd also like to see a blank female buck.


Anyone with me on that ?

I agree that this may generate more sales. I personally will buy very few He-Man or other characters just to customize, then you have all the extra armor and such, but a plain buck would be a good idea to use extra heads and armor. I may even purchase a few of them. Good idea for the right price.

Nope. I say they include roughly about the accessories of a regular figure, and release them at full price. Put it on a blister card even so completists will buy them.

I would love this idea. Blank bucks (with some form of pants of course) and generic heads. Awesome if it happens.

This would be a great idea. But they would need a huge price for really nuthing. So I doubt they would. I'd jump all over it. I have at least 10 molarr and 5 zodac bodies with the extra heads on them. I'd love blank bucks.

If they sold blank bucks in solid black, I would by at least 10 to make evil warriors. Cool if they came with extra helmets to slip on the heads.

Ideal colours for me would be black or navy blue.

Why would you want just the buck? Wouldn't a customizer need an entire body?

I'd say with all the parts, heads, armors, weapons we've accumulated, each collector could use at least 3-4 bucks.

The idea of having a head or accessories or package on the "blank" buck would be pointless since we have a bunch of those. I think if you take away the paint, accessories, the head, and the package, you basically get a 10.00 figure. No additional tooling, since the rest is for us to take care of. Its so we can use to display our extra heads and such. Easy customizing for the people who don't mess around with paint. On the other hand, this also makes a good base for those who do use paint.

If these are sold similarly to the way the stands are sold, I'd be picking these up numerous times throughout the year.

Not only would this be ideal for Masters, but other toy lines as well. DC universe heads can benefit from this treatment.

So an assortment consisting of :

Blank White Buck, Black Buck, gLow Buck ( make a friend or enemy for scareglow ) , Transluscent Buck ( imagine your spare skeletor head on a transluscent buck ).


I can see this starting in 2014 and then going on in 2015 and 16. By that time we will have enough heads, armors, weapon packs, etc. You can make your ultimate mix n match character. The possibilities are endless..

All should have a generic head including their respective common racial features. Furry drawers in whatever colors but newly designed "smooth" briefs would be great. And bare wrists and feet w/mid calf (boot) artic cut would be sublime. All bucks come in both male and female.

- tan flesh
- black
- green (MAA)
- light blue (Gar)

They're already cutting accessories and paint apps from figures. Don't give them ideas lol, every character could end up being little more than a blank buck

It's a good idea, but I wonder how big the customising market is...

I wouldn't want it to take away from what we all want - fan-favourite characters! - but if it helps generate revenue, I'd support the idea.

I think it would be a great idea and something that would probably sell really well at Powercon or a similar convention. I would buy multiple bodies in different configurations. To make it simple, I think just selling extra He-man bodies without heads and accessories and maybe different paint apps to the loincloth and boots would be very successful.
