For $40 that thing better come with a happy ending.

    I wouldn't pay over $10. Ever.

The salon I work at men's cuts start at 30.00 and go up to 125.00. We have men that pay both prices and everything inbetween. I say anything under 30.00 is cut at your own risk. I for one would never charge under 40.00 and up for my cuts. My time and expertise are worth it.

I pay $20+ for a 6 inch action figure, of course I'm going to spend more than that on a haircut.

    It's $12 + a $3 tip where I go. That's not too bad.

The problem is that I need a hair cut every three weeks. My hair grows incredibly fast. The older I get, the faster it grows.

I have to get it cut first thing tomorrow morning, as college has just started back up.

$20 with a shave I give em $5 as a tip usually. it's a pretty penny but the guy cuts my hair perfect and takes his time.

I won't pay someone to cut my hair when I can do it in a mirror. We also have no barber shops here, only beauty salons... I'm not paying someone to cut my hair while the top 40 country music station plays, my tolerance for that came to an end at some point. Even so, when I did pay it was only $10, though the person in question essentially operates from their own home- well, that is, they have a full beauty salon built, it looks the same as a commercial business, all attached to their garage, so they can afford to operate it cheap.

A haircut that expensive, I'd expect, no, DEMAND that women be throwing themselves at me for that price. But for the most part I doubt you'll get a better cut there than at a cheap place.

Is the alcohol so you'll think it looks good?

i dont think $40 is that bad... depends on yer style etc... if yer just getting a buzz cut the 40 is way too much.....but if yer styling then.. yea 40 seems ok...to me anyways..

Last year, I went out and bought some 12-15 dollar clippers. I've started buzzing my head every 3-4 months. It works for me.

Got my haircut. Another $15 wasted

Well, you gotta do whatcha gotta do. My hair sticks out all over the place when I wake up in the morning unless I keep it super short. And that isn't so easy because it grows like grass.

I haven't gotten a haircut in years and I am saving so much money. I also save a lot of money on dental floss.

Ever since I shaved my head bald (when other haircuts started to look silly because of natural hair loss) I have been doing it myself, but before I used to pay around 12 Euros (about $15) on my haircuts. True barbers have become very rare here in Germany.

I have never paid a cent for my hair cuts. I mean as a child it was my parents, who paid for it and after that my hair has been cut by my stepmother, who does it for free.

If I did go to a barber shop, the current prices here are between 20-40 euros.

got mine cut yesterday, $25 gone. but the man does great work, I couldn't cut it this way myself. I used to shave my head for years when the price of cuts went up. in highschool it was $5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but my head is kind of bumpy so while it didn't look terrible, it was still hard to shave it clean. then one day I wanted to look REALLY good so I tried out this place - been going to the guy ever since.

I know it's an indulgence, but it's an Aveda salon, it smells great, I get a neck message with oils and a shampoo. With a family of five I don't do a lot for myself. I work out at home. I don't go to the track or the casino and I don't go hunting or fishing. So once a month this is my treat to myself -- no e-mails, no text messages, no phone calls. Just an hour where it's all about me. In that regard I consider it an investment in pleasure and, perhaps a bit immodestly, I think I'm worth it and that I've earned it by being a good provider, a faithful and loving husband and a hands-on dad.
I'm in that same boat. A pre-wash/scalp and neck massage pre cut. A lengthy, meticulous scissors cut. A wash after to get rid of any remaining clippings. My salon charges 25 bucks for that - which seems like a really good deal to me. I tend to always overtip for exceptional service, so I always give her a 20 - making it a 45 dollar outing.

Not too many ways you can shell out forty or fifty bucks and come out really feeling great, with afterglow lasting for a couple of weeks.

I cut my own hair too. For many years I had long hair, so, when needed, I would make it into a pony tail and cut a few inches. Early this year I got me an electric trimmer, so now I keep it short.

I have no idea how much it would cost in my country to get a hair cut, last time I got one I was in high school.
