I've never been a fan of the Snakemen but this is a nice looking figure.

Dan, is it just how it shows up on the video, or is the coloring of the neck extension a good bit darker than the rusty red of his body? Not a huge issue for me personally, but it did seem to stand out a little from certain angles.
Eh...he was a Horde member at one point in both the Filmation series and the mini-comics, so I kinda like the nod. Hope Tung Lashor has one too when he comes out.Originally Posted by Thrawn29

The nod is fine. I'm fine with him coming with a Horde armband. Big fan of She-Ra, the Horde, and Filmation.
It disgusts me seeing Rattlor with the Horde in any modern incarnations. Rattlor is a snakeman. End of story.
My personal preference, of course.
Ah. I'm going ahead and just say it...Rattlor is the most beautiful figure in the line. At the very least tying with Teela. Rattlor is just so visually appealing to me.

Nice review Dan. Particularly good comparisons this time as well, since Rattlor has three of the best He-Man figures ever produced. Rattlor *puts on sunglasses* strikes gold every time.
I totally agree - Rattlor is right up there with Teela and also Mer-Man. He's my most anticipated this year and couldn't be happier about the way he turned out.

OH MAN CAN'T WAIT. I dunno how they keep doing this, but they keep putting some of my all time childhood favorites in my birth month. Rattlor was one of the few that was almost always in my hands; so much so that I brought him with me into kindergarten one time on accident even though it wasn't show 'n tell day. Didn't even realize he was still in my hand!
Anyway, I love this guy and he looks absolutely perfect. Certainly a stand-out figure.

This looks like another home run! I hope Cy-Chop's Horde belt will fit around him, that will look awesome along with the arm band and a crossbow!

I was going to skip the Snake Men, but MAN... Rattlor is PERFECT! Really, everysnake BUT King Hiss is amazing.
Really great looking figure, ...but he looks as though he has blue under his arms in the posed shots rather than red... more dreaded black plastic or blue connectors (the elbows look like blue connectors)...

He needs the blue arm pegs and discs due to the outside appearance. The blue lines on his outer arms look great... imagine if he had brown pegs and shoulder discs? What do you guys see in vintage Rattlor? He's naked compared to the 200X General version...looks more of a henchman than those Snake Men warriors that we are getting. I'm not being crass or anything, I'm just curious.
I'm sure Rattlor will be an awesome representation of the vintage version with that nice color scheme (I wish they paid that much attention to Frosta's back) and sculpt, but I prefer...aw, hell....you know which version of Rattlor I really want. Chances are the line won't last long enough to get to a variant with the MYP coloration, 200X armor, the bracelets and greaves, so I'll have to take the nekkid version.
Agreed completely! I Like him but he is so bland in comparison. He, like Mekaneck, received no 200X nods and I feel cheated. It really seems like Mattel hates that era. Mine will be getting the shoulder armor from the snakemen 2 pack for now.
I bet you see the armor in weapons pack 4 as it is already sculpted. This was stated towards the end of the video.

Vintage Rattlor is just a darn fine design. Rattlor was one of the few characters that I liked equally in both 200x and vintage.
Honestly, the main reason vintage Rattlor rocks, is the color scheme. It might be the most vibrant in the line. Then of course he has a unique sculpt.
Personality wise, Rattlor will probably always be MYP for me and even a lot of vintage fans. He was intelligent, cunning, and a leader. He had actually had character development in MYP.
But with or without armor, the vintage toy was a unique sculpt, awesome paint, and looked like a snake.
Rattlor has never had a bad figure.
I'd still love to get a General/MYP variant one day. And of course I still prefer the 200x/MYP version of King Hsss and Evil Lyn, but Rattlor has always had good designs no matter what.

Rattlor is the first figure since Kobra Khan that I am really excited for. This year has just been filled with characters I do not care about or issues so bad it ruined my enjoyment of the line.
BTW, this year seems to be the year of the necks.
Tallstar, Mekanek, Rattlor, ...we just need Extendar now & we have all the necks of "The Universe."
