Rudy Obrero Prints of Classic Package Art

Rudy Obrero has asked me to share that he will be taking orders for prints of his classic package paintings including Castle Grayskull, BattleRam, Wind Raider, BattleCat, and BattleCat/Heman Combo boxes at Power Con. After Power Con he will produce only as many as are ordered so get yourself to Power Con or ask a friend to put in an order for you so you don't miss out!

This is incredibly exciting! Any word on price and how he wants payment and all that? I want them all.

Not yet. When I spoke to him, I don't think he was even planning to do any more than the one he donated for the Power Con charity auction https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDeta...40362#topoflot and I don't think he realizes the response he's going to get on these.

When I learn more, I will post here.

I hate to pull a TG but if people are interested, please encourage them to post to this thread. If enough are interested, I will talk to him and see if he can set up an ordering system for those who cannot attend Power Con.

I will FOR SURE be getting Battle Ram and Castle Grayskull, and possibly all of them if I can afford it...but I WILL afford those two, no matter what!

Yeah, someone should tell him that when Mattel announced at SDCC they'd be rolling out some special items for the 30th Anniversary, the first thing damn near EVERYONE asked was if they'd be doing posters of the vintage box art.

Pricing would determine how many I could get. Definitely CG for sure. I fell in love with that box art the day my CG came down the upper conveyor belt at Crest Hill Service Merchandise.

Really would like them all though!!

I talked to him today and they will be available online for purchase. Just a heads up he said they would be $200 plus shipping just for the grayskull one. They are pretty awesome however and are not on cardboard. The ones I saw were prints on canvass and looked pretty badass!

wow $200 for just grayskull? You can easily purchase the vintage grayskull box for much less than that and display that in your collection, which makes more sense since the painting was orginally printed on the box. I am sure the print will look good, none the less
