My only concern about bringing in the TMNT is that the panels were already packed as is.Adding another toyline would add more panels.It will be interesting to see how they schedule them.Having 90% masters 10% thundercats worked out fine for me.Just don't want to see less He-man,maybe a 3 day con is the way to go if you include another property.

Nope, it's still one show next year. We had a post-con conference and everyone on the staff unanimously decided to keep it in LA for 2013. The 2012 con was about twice as big as the 2011 con, and moving to New York next year would result in us having to shrink things down considerably. Waaay more MOTU guests are in LA, so it works out in that regard. Also, because of the new TMNT aspect, it makes sense to stick with LA this time around since most of the Turtles action is also centered in California. Sorry fellow East Coasters, but it's back to Cali for 2013. Personally, the commute would be a lot easier for me if it was in NYC but, from a logical perspective, I completely agree that it makes much more sense to keep it in LA for 2013. Of course, that doesn't mean we won't be in NY for a future year.

Well I will be there for sure. This year I bought tickets and then, had surgery the week of so I couldn't go. I can't wait to finally get to be a MOTU geek in an area full of MOTU geeks lol. Plus my wife wants to make costumes so it should be a blast.
I'll admit I was hoping for an excuse to go to New York since I'd never been, but I'll keep showing up as long as you keep puttin' on the show, no matter where it is. Now I just have to resist the urge to blow extra cash on those days in Disneyland.
Also, I am PUMPED for TMNT. I hope you can get in some of the comics guys: Steve Murphy, Dean Clarrain, Jim Lawson, A. C. Farley, Mike Dooney.
I dunno if Eastman and Laird are on friendly enough terms to show up in the same place these days, but Laird apparently doesn't even like to travel to cons. Eastman's always been the nicest guy when I've met him, and he seems truly excited about where TMNT is going these days.
Dang, well I guess I'm not going to Powercon 2013 anymore. Bummer. It only works for me if it's in New York.
Well, maybe I'll just go to the NYCC instead.

We planned for NY, but a number of factors weighed against it. Danielle covered a lot of it.
We had the addition of TMNT, and a lot of talent is in California for the many incarnations of the brand. Plus, we had a lot of the talent and vendors ask us to stay in LA for 2013. I also got a lot of requests via e-mail and Facebook by people who found out about the show too late and wanted to come next year.
NY is definitely on the to-do list. But we'll give the show a bit more time to grow first. We have a good thing going so we don't want to stop the momentum.
My apologies that NY didn't happen for 2013. I hope we'll see all of you out in LA for 2013!

With all apologies to folks who were hoping the show would end up in NYC next year, I'm really glad it's not. Cali is only a 5 or so hour drive from where I'm at and much more convenient overall. 2012 being my first year, I really enjoyed the show and would love to go back in 2013. The show staying closer to home makes this much more of a possibility. I realize it's not a decision that will please everyone, but consider me happy.

For everyone that went this year I have a funny story. I was just at a pumpkin patch with my kids. We were eating lunch when I heard some guy walking around saying the whip show is starting now! I turned around and it was Anthony DeLongis in full cowboy garb! He was there with his wife doing a similar routine to what we saw at the show this year. Very nice guy!
