Octavia's Tentacles: Hard or Bendy

I'm guessing they can't incorporate the ball joint with the bendy material. Personally I think they look pretty good, but I know I'll want to bend them too. As long as they don't break apart.

Definitely bendy - use the material that was used for King Hiss. I've had no problems with him.

One other point - I really think the tentacles should be bunched up a little more. This could obviously be achieved if the material is bendy, but if they don't go with this option I'd love for them to be resculpted. (hey, a guy can dream, right?)

After SnoutSpout's trunk I prefer hard. I don't want tentacles that break over time.

Hard, like Slush-Head's tentacles. Bendy will crack over time, the paint will flake much easier and it has those stupid holes in it.

Bendy, we just need to let them know that we don't mind bendy as long as they don't use that foam material! The rubber on King Hsss is working just fine, so use that material. I mean come on - no need to reinvent the wheel here, Mattel. They've been doing bendy toys for years and years; just use what already works!

Exactly. People short have memory loss. Kiss Hssss was perfect and exactly how Octavia needs to be done. NO way those tentacles can be hard and just...ARCH out they way the prototype is.

Her tentacles are her main play feature, how in the world can you NOT take advantage of it?!

Talking to Eric Treadway, they got negative feedback with how Snout Spout was handled, which is why they are shying away from the bendy limbs. Even if it were true, it is absolutely appropriate to uise the bendy plastic limbs for Octavia. King Hssss works just fine still.

Octavia NEEDS bendy tentacles, as it's her BIGGEST play feature.

See, why should we be giving Mattel the go-ahead to cop out on something that CAN be done? Bendy parts on an action figure are not the stuff of science fiction!

Trust me, I'll be the most upset if the things snap or rot...so how about Mattel not use a substandard material?

Just like me. I've voted for bendy tentacles, but if they won't be able to stand the test of time or break as easily as Snout Spout's trunk, I'd prefer hard ones. Recently read on German forums that Octavia's tentacles will be hard. Although I personally go for bendy, I'd be satisfied with that - main thing is that they won't ever break.
