Was anybody else a member of the Fan Club back in the mid 80s??? I think it ran to something like 4 updates but I can't remember for sure.

I was a member. Mendoc was the name they gave me!

I remember the door stickers two, but not a lot else

Thought that was where your he-man.org ID came from

I wonder how many more Dagars are in the country

The name Dagar still lives on with me - even today. My brothers sometimes still refer to me with that name

I was part of the fan club, I was 'Axon'.

The 'Wise Words from the Warriors' section of the newsletter was always highly amusing.

I was "Calmos" - I seem to remember that there were 6 months between issues - and there was something about an "Advanced Fan Club" - not sure as I was 7 at the time.

I never knew one existed until now! Was it publicised in magazines, toy pack-ins etc?

I joined the club just as it closed, I got sent a letter from the club explaining that it was no more and thanked me for wanting to join. Eventhough I was dissapointed that the club had closed I was still overjoyed that I got a reply.

yer i was a member also called mendoc, still got most thing from the starter pack such as my id card, badge, strength tester, will post pic when i get back to the UK if anyone is intrested?

Even though it was advertised on the back of the UK comic every issue and even though I was a HUGE fan of Masters of the Universe, I could never be bothered to join...

What kind of He-Man fan does that make me?

I don't think this has been mentioned on this site before, but between 1983 and 1986 I was, as a kid, a member of this postal club. The Scrolls of Eternia was the name of the newsletter, there were free gifts - an invisible-ink print of Tuska-drawn Eternian monsters sticks in the head as does a rather nifty scratch-off Advent Calendar. There were also proofs of purchase and a seeming obsession with teh Arndale Centre in Manchester - the club arranged a He-Man lookalike to turn up there once or twice I think.
Anyone have more detailed memories of this/can give a link to other information on it?

I was not a member of the British club, but in Germany we had also a Masters club called "Masters Abenteuer Club" (Masters Adventure Club) or simply MAC.

Regarding the British club... in nearly every issue of the UK Comic Magazine from London Editions there was the application form for joinging this club:

Just to add to this, Prozac was my club name. I think they must have been having a laugh at my expense!

Hence my username, Mr. Prozac (it used to be just Prozac, but I lost my original sign in details way back when).

I have my id card, a badge of the MOTU club logo , strength tester card and a glow in the dark sticker of the planet Eternia. I've been meaning to take pictures of them for ages to put here on the ORG.

I remember getting some Castle Grayskull stickers to stick on my bedroom door too. They were like giant hinges and a door knocker that you could apply to your door. Mine stayed on there for years.

A bit on the off-topic side, I was a member of the Greek club but I can't remember if I received a nickname, I could hardy read back then (I was 4).

I still have some gifts somewhere though, a pencil case and a cap. There were more gifts I think but I can't recall what they were and they are most probably lost.
