New He-Man video game for iPad and iPhone - now with She-Ra!

You get to use all the crystals you hoarded previously though. I upgraded her powers right away.

Lucky; I almost never have enough crystals for stuff. Takes forever!

I've played the game so many times I had close to 250,000 crystals.

Best level to farm gems is 3-1, just keep killing and breaking stuff and try not to get hit to keep a high multiplier.

Beat the game as She Ra, and I gotta say, she's a lot weaker than He-Man is. Her special moves suck outside of the thrust, her stomp has a pathetic hitbox compared to He-Man's Aerial Smash, she doesn't have much crowd control, she doesn't have upgrades for her moves and her attacks seem to have more recovery. She's pretty disappointing unless you want to count her as hard mode.

Just noticed that I can now buy all the lores I was missing before the new the update. Wonder if they were never in the game or if they just decided to let you buy all the ones that were more difficult to find?

I would say the game is a lot more challenging as She-Ra, which isn't a bad thing. I guess He-Man might have been a little over "powered". I have noticed the lack of crowd control thing. When I get ambushed, it gets bad. As He-Man I could just go in hurricane mode. But I love how much faster and agile She-Ra is. If you fall off the ledge to your death, she can back flip in id air back on to the game, where as He-Man might have just died. Plus she can dodge out of danger easier against bosses.

I don't really find She-Ra's agility all that useful, especially in the later levels where you're stuck in rooms where you really miss He-Man's better damage and crowd control. And the bosses in the game weren't even hard to begin with (Giga Skeletor is harder with She-Ra through.)

Also forgot to mention She-Ra lacks an anti air attack, damn wizards are even worse now.

just updated my iphone apps and had no idea that She-Ra was a major new update. She moves really quick and those jumps! wow.

I'm really digging She-Ra's speed and jumping ability. He-Man seems so sluggish to me now. But it is challenging to beat the mini bosses due to her lack of power. This add on was a pleasant holiday surprise.

I compare her to using Chun-Li instead of Ryo in Street Fighter.

Dubbed the "She-Ra" update, the free download adds the Princess of Power to the core game as a playable character. Literally, you can play every level in the game as She-Ra. And it isn't just a skin -- She-Ra has different powers and uses different items.

On the technical front, this update adds a new virtual button control scheme. A few bugs have been squashed, too, and the game has seen some nebulous optimization tweaks.

Her Stiletto stomp is actually pretty awesome. It's not as heavy as He-Man's, but she does it non-stop extremely fast til someone like Megator or the other giant dies.

Power Trust is really fun with the earlier bad guys.

Air Dance and Honor dodge are kind of the same?

Swift Wind is a great boss killer.

I beat the game this morning as She-Ra and it was fun. Her agility and jumps make her much easier to avoid boss attacks, she's like a pinball. Glitter wave is much more useful than He-Man's throwing axe, especially against the flying mages/witches.

Swift Wind is also really useful against bosses, almost like summoning the power of Grayskull.

So I completely disagree that her special powers are useless or that's she's harder to beat the game with. You need to use what you have and let go of how you played with as He-Man.

After I beat the game, I spotted Battle Cat in the game as the credits were rolling. If Swift Wind is such a monster, can't wait til they let us use him.

I am stoked that She-Ra has been added! I downloaded the update but now the game keeps crashing whether I play She-Ra or He-Man.
