Finally, those designs look great enough to consider for action figures.

Teela and Tri-klops as figures; NOW!

All the designs on the cover looks great, if they're going to reboot the line with this new look I'd be all for it.
Hey, if you want to wallow in the negative, go nuts. Sure, things arent absolutely perfect, and people passionate about a property can get all keyed up about things. But I dont collect toys to be miserable. So Id rather think about the things that do excite me

Not sure who Mary Kay is BUT these redesigns are some of the best I've seen yet some really nice choices in here MAA is way too plain though he needs more knick knacks in his armor he's an inventor and a weapons master so... The new direction for Teela is Awesome so I've said it. I still say there is room for the Sorceress in there like Obi wan as an astral projection kinda thing So who/what is this?

    Looks good.

There is something strange about that picture tho, it clearly shows both He-man and Adam in the same place at the same time and it is also clearly not a Adam to He-Man transformation scene, they are just both there despite being the same person
Take a look at my attempts at coloring

I suppose since it's an homage to this:

I think the piece looks good. The DC costumes certainly have never looked better.

love the cover, love the new look. Also the new DC designs looks great here - you just need the right artists and style to bring out the best of them.

BTW, I'd LOVE a Snake Sorceress Teela figure.

Agreed. I like how they are done here.

I'm also impressed at how they continue to reach out to different news outlets and sites to spread the word about the comic to more than just the hardcore fan base, while still doing interviews here at the Org with Jukka to give us fans more detailed insights and info.

This is another awesome cover. It has a vibe from the 80's Sword and Sorcery movie covers. I'm really digging She-Ra's new look. It's respecting the source material but at the same time gaves her a more valkyrian aspect (she reminds me kind of Valeria from Conan the Barbarian). Also good to see that both twins have the same Zoar symbol on their outfits (since Zoar is the source of their power and the Eternian deity).
    Two things only to object:
    - It's time for He-Man to lose the pants and return at his old barbarian outfit. Everyone in the cover is looking MOTU-like except him.
    - They could replace "Bilbo Bagins" Adam with another MOTU character.
But apart from these details this is really one of the best MOTU works.

DC Comic-related discussions usually take place in the MOTUC subforum (as that's where everyone visits), so I'm just wondering why this was moved to a place where most people won't find it?

I like the new look. It's not perfect, it resembles vintage Teela's outfit above anything else, but you see it and you instantly know it's She-Ra. It does look very "2010s sci-fi" though, like something you'd see in "Man of Steel" or an Avengers movie, so I can't imagine it will age well, but it's the first DC redesign that I've liked.

Edit: And yes, He-Man needs to lose his Iron Man pants!

All the DC Comic-related discussions are now here, in the New Media forum. Have been since the re-organization.

It's a pretty good redesign. True enough to her traditional look while giving her a nice update. It's far better than most of the other DC redesigns.

And I do like how that cover is a nice nod to that old poster.

However, like He-Man's, her sword redesign still sucks.

She-Ra looks more heavily built compared to Adora as well. I like that, gives them more of a contrast.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware there had been any reorganisation. That's a bit of a pain, to be honest, I prefer having all the current discussions in one place considering how quiet this place gets these days.

WOW, I really like the cover. Especially, the way She-Ra appears welcoming while radiating confidence, power and authority. There's also a nice touch with the torc around her neck which indicates a person of high rank or status.

There are however two things about the new look that I do not understand:
    1. What is the significance of the 'Stone of Protection' in her power sword being red instead of the traditional blue? Is this a new look for Bubble Power She-Ra?
    2. Why is she wearing boots with wedges? Wouldn't these heels make riding SwiftWind more difficult and inhibit her ability to run, walk and fight? Or do they give her new abilities, such as flight?

And by the way guys, her new look (minus red cape and double slit skirt) reminds me of Raquel Welch when she played the 'Priestess of the Whip' in the 1969 movie "The Magic Christian". Perhaps, her new look should be called 'Princess of the Sword' in homage? It might become just as iconic.
