Cool! I'll be reading that for sure.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

The DC comics have been pretty bad so far and I already know the origin of He-Man so why even bother?

This looks promising!! The more MOTU comics, the better!!! The mini series and digital series must be selling pretty well for DC to be putting out one-shots like these!!! Fingers crossed for an ongoing series!!!!

Yeah, this is exciting. Anyway to support MOTU. This just looks amazing. I like the cover as well. But as others have mentioned a striking resemblance of Faker for sure.

Basically, whilst the new Dc comics may not be the best MOTu comics ever, they're not tHe worst and not terrible, and all new comics should be accepted!

I just hope they don't mess it up. I hope they get help from someone that has an invested interest in He-Man.
I don't want to see this done by DC guys that just consider this a job.

IMO the DC Comics are a terrible representation of the property.
But I'm a tragic so I buy up all that's offered.

Looking forward to it. I really like the cover.

I think the DC comics are good. It's nice to have new interpretations and ideas now and again. I have "my cannon" engrained in my head, so any new takes won't ruin that for me.

Looking forward to it. I love all of the new properties.
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

I don't trust the "writers" (if you can call them that) of the comics anymore... DC... Digital and even the mini comics have such horrible continuity problems that I don't see how anyone can take them seriously... Hacks.

Just because they've been given the green light to do their own take on a continuity that differs from what you accept as the only true continuity (how the heck do you come to terms with all the different variations out there from FILMation to vintage mini-comics to MYP to the bios??) doesn't mean these writers have continuity problems. And judging by your rush-to-judgment labeling of the writers as hacks, I have to assume you are not normally a comic reader. The writer on Trap Jaw & Evil Lyn and the writer of this He-Man origin issue are currently receiving critical and fan accolades for their work on other series. Just because you have a personal problem with the fact that a new story has been created that you don't like doesn't mean the writers themselves lack talent.

Fialkov is an amazing writer, and I'm really looking forward to this issue. Kind of like the whole Transformers thing, with all the multiple incarnations, it's fun to see this new take on things.

I don't like it. (DC isn't too bad... but the digital firsts... I can't do it.)

So they said it will be out on Jan 30th, so they actually mean March 6th.
Can someone PM me the US number for Matty? I want to talk to someone who might has a clue of what is going on.
