    Oh my word, I just did a "mock order". The international shipping is pretty staggering. Am I prepared to pay £280 or so for a large toy? Really have to think about this one.......

    $200 for international shipping? What in the world?

    Without int'l orders, the preorder number isn't going to be met. If they didn't want to make it, they shouldn't have gotten everyone's hopes up.
    Sadly, you can't divorce emotion from a toyline based on nostalgia.

    Has anyone checked their cards to see how much the pre-authorization amount is really ringing up as? Is it really zero?

    This is a dead letter. It will never be made. With $200 shipping to the rest of the world Mattel has to view this is a joke and basically humored Toyguru to let him have his pet project knowing full well it would never fly.
